Great set of knives for hunting. The cases are well made and hold the knife well. The knives hold their sharpness longer than most

exactly as pictured and described. i was needing a set of knives to use 'in camp' for when i take my converted shuttle bus camping. these are cheap yet fairly well made with all the right options to make great camp knives. with the holes your able to lash it into an improvised spear for stabby stabby or for even cutting brush. with the full tang it also can be used as a wedge to split firewood The gut hook is great for guts and cutting rope. the hole in the handle makes adding a lanyard or line for spear fishing a snap. as with most knives at this price point, less then $20.00 for both, you will need to put a sharp edge on it yourself. the handle is nice but could use some paracording wrap or dragon skin to improve grip. the sheath is very well made and much better then most. very happy with my purchase. shop wisely as amazon has return fees now.

Very well made nice camouflage and sharp

Knife handled well despite the feel of the handle being a little slick which when pushing through hide may allow your hand to slip forward. There is a fair indentation for your forefinger to rest in while cutting, helping your hand to stay in place on the handle. The new blades are not ultra-sharp but do the job when skinning large game. (highly recommend sharpening before first use and after use there after. When pulling the "Gut Hook" blade - again, the handle wants to pull out of your hand - but the hook stays within the hide using short pulls. I did not elect to show the actual skinning - a little too graphic. The biggest con is the knife securing strap on the sheath wants to fold into the way, when placing the knife back into the sheath, making it easy to slice into the strap. May work better if the manufacture placed the securing strap, a little higher on the sheath so the blade cannot come into contact with it. All in all, nice knife, held a decent edge during one use. I have always re-sharpened all my knifes after use and the blade was definitely sharper after using a couple of good "water-stone" sharpeners (first edge - 2k grit, final edge 6k grit)

You can't beat this pair of knives for the price. They are durable, cut well, and feel good in the hand. These are tools and they perform the necessary functions of what you would need a knife to do. You could pay over $100 for a knife, or you could just get these and be happy. I will say, I specifically like the sheaths that these come with. I was easily able to lash one to a drop leg molle strap and can easily lash it onto my chest rig as well. For now, the other sheath sits with one of the knives in my backpack.

I bought this set of knives on a whim, after all, the price point was excellent. After owning them for some time now, I can safely say they are an incredible buy. The blades are decent quality mild steel, with a zinc like coating. Slightly harder than normal, so hold an edge, even if sharpening takes a little more. The hunting knife, has a chiseled tanto style blade that is actually well suited to many of the tasks around camp. " The skinning knife is actually where this set shines. I just field dressed a small deer, using the skinning knife to gut, skin, and cape the deer while hanging, without requiring a touch up to the blade. The angle and sweep of the knife edge made the task easy. If the gut hook had an edge ( I might touch up with a small round file), it could have easily have ripped down the front of the skin without puncturing the body cavity. Literally the best value $30 is going to get you in outdoor knives.

Well made, comfortable and very sharp. Almost everything one could need from a knife. Full tang fastened well inside a very comfortable 'composite' (?) grip. A two knife set at this price is well worth ordering even if it's for a bug out bag or as a back up in your camping / hunting / outdoors toolkit. I put one each into a toolbox and a bug out bag. Full disclaimer and the reason for only 4 stars : as of yet I have only "whittled" a small 2" diameter fir bench and a piece of 1"x1" pine from my garage 'stash'. Both blades were sharp and responsive and sliced through he wood quite well. I would postulate that both would be more than adequate when faced with tougher demands. Highly recommend so much I may just purchase another set to have in my travel trailer and vehicle.

I love these knives. I would recommend if you are looking buy it!!! So far without sharpening it took care of 5 moose. Like from opening the moose to gutting and separating the meat. Just sharpened it cause it's a little dull but not bad.
