I recently installed the ERA 60mm Nightlatch, and overall, I’m pleased with it. It has a nice, sturdy look to it, and the design feels secure. The only issue I encountered is that the key was a bit stiff to turn at first, but after adding a little oil to the mechanism, it worked much smoother. The fitting process was okay, but I did have to modify the bracket because the cut-out from the previous lock was larger, so I couldn’t use the existing door wood to secure it in place. Once that was sorted, everything went well. I really like the feature where it can be locked from the inside but still opened with a key from the outside. It adds an extra layer of convenience and security. Overall, a good product and I would recommend it!

This was a drop in for an old version of the same lock that must have been 20 years old. It still worked but as we live next to the sea had got a bit tired. Really great to see all the holes are in the same place that they used to be. Made life so much easier. I see no reason why this one will wont last just as long.

Whilst the lock itself is fine - the description does not mention that it's not suitable for outward opening doors. Cue one ruined door with lock fitted - now unable to fit the staple.

this latch lock can be locked from the inside with the same key, i think if I needed to change the tumbler i would use the key for the new tumbler but have to keep the original key for the inside lock. I had the same lock before but the key was not turning very well and sticking so i bought a new lock arrived same day. The old lock lasted years i would recommend it for the doble lock security from the inside especially.

Once installed the lock works as intended and looks nice. However, I found that the tolerances are quite tight. I used the template to mark the holes and did everything by the book but in the end, the screws were off by a millimetre or two and I had to butcher the bracket for the latch to fit the door. Our door also has a weather-seal around the perimeter of the frame, which means that the door slightly sticks out when closed and it makes unlocking the door and closing the door quite difficult as it takes considerable force to release the latch from its socket/put the latch into the socket. I should also point out that the latch is pretty big. It is worthwhile checking the measurements.

I installed this lock and it worked fine for a couple of months. Came home one day and was unable to open front door as lock had jammed. This has happened twice and necessitated me climbing over a neighbours fence to gain access to the house via the back door. The lock is supposed to have a 10 year guarantee but unable to find any way to replace this lock via Amazon. You just go round and round in customer service being told it’s too late to return the item and there appears to be no other recourse to solve this issue. Amazon makes it nigh on near impossible to contact anyone or report a problem with an item after the return period has closed. Have had to buy another lock (not from amazon) to replace the defective I received from Amazon.

Looks great, fitting was easy enough, jesus is it noisy though, needs a *really* good slam to get it to shut and then the autodeadbolt slams again, we're in a block of flats and I've taken to using a key to shut it when leaving because it's just ridiculous. Visitors usually have three or more goes at banging it shut it when they leave (as headline), our neighbours must hate us. Sometimes I see whoever just came in didn't slam it hard enough and it's still open, and the plaster is coming off the walls around the lock. I'm going to take it apart at some point and see if I can disable the autodeadbolt or add some sound dampening or something, I'll probably end up replacing it though.
