Incredible!
This was my first time hatching absolutely anything, but it was an incredible experience. The eggs came crazy fast! So, if you haven't purchased your incubator like me - then do so first! Thankfully, we had a neighbor who hatches her own chickens, so we were able to borrow hers until ours came in. Out of caution, we didn't move them over until Day Ten when we needed to candle them. The eggs were lovingly packaged and only one had a crack on the top. Being none-the-wiser, we still put it in the incubator, and it honestly ended up just fine. I greatly appreciate the 4 extra eggs added in just in case some don't hatch. Day ten, we candled the eggs and found only two - you read that right, ONLY TWO - not fertilized. We were so shocked that we had 22 fertilized eggs. On lockdown day (day 14), we candled them again and only one seemed to have stopped growing rather early. I pulled it from the incubator and - for science - popped it open a day later to find a very small fetus that in fact stopped developing. It was honestly very cool. There was one last one that stopped developing late in the game - which kind of broke my heart because the shell was the most beautiful out of all of them. Hatch day comes around and it's MAGIC! So many pipped all at once and we waited very patiently for them to make their emergence. It was incredible to watch them all hatch like little pieces of popcorn. All 20 eggs hatched and we only had to help two of them. We did have two pass away, one a few days after hatching (it was clearly having a hard time getting oriented to its legs) and the other about two weeks later (just kind of stopped growing and was very sleepy). Not sure what happened with those two other than a difficult hatch for the first one, and maybe a malformation for the second. Either way, we have EIGHTEEN beautiful, healthy quails. They are growing like weeds and are almost full of feathers. They jump around a ton and are so sweet and quiet with their chirps and vocalization. We ordered to raise them as meat birds and for eggs, and I will happily be purchasing from here again if the need arises. There are never any guarantees for fertilized eggs no matter where you buy them from, but the low investment with these eggs was worth the risk.

Great Experience
Ordered 20 Eggs, received 24 well packed. It’s my first time incubating eggs so honestly I had little hope that any of them would hatch. Surprisingly, 14 eggs hatched. 12 are strong and healthy, one was born with 3 legs (I think it was due to improper humidity during incubation) and another one was born at day 22 and was too weak so both of them didn’t made it. I’m very happy with the overall results.

100% Hatch Rate
IT WORKED! I was extremely doubtful but it was a huge success. When we received shipment, we removed the soft layered cartons and left them on counter for one day. During that time we preheated out Cimuka CT-60. We did not bother to "Candle" the eggs. I had placed 17 of our own quail eggs in with the 60 eggs we purchased. We placed them in 12 quail rails and set Temp 99 and H 42. Left it alone for 14 days. On Day 14 we placed the eggs in lockdown in one basket. 3 days later we heard our first chirp around 5:30 am and by 9:00 am the basket was FULL. 73 (out of 76) new chicks. We left them alone and untouched for 15 hours so they could dry out and did not want any "shrink wrapping" for any pipping and unzipping slowly. Placed them in their brooder with wood pellets for bedding and paper towel for food. We used luke warm water to not give them brain freeze or shock. Usually by day 3 in the brooder a few weak ones die or pancaked by others. But it is day 7 and have not had a single death. No splayed legs. No crying. Just very content. We use a heat lamp on one corner of a tote near the food and water, and a Chick Heating Plate Brooder Plate - 12 Inch Brooder Heat Plate for Chicks on the other end. A total of 73 out of 76 eggs (not candled) successful hatch. I would call that a 100% hatch rate (not checking unfertilized eggs). This experiment with an "Amazon order of quail eggs" has been my best hatch rate to date. I will be making another order soon and regularly.

Amazing for the price!
Seller was very helpful in replacing damaged eggs. My order was tossed on my porch and most eggs didn’t make it. My replacement order was left in my mailbox and 15 out of 24 hatched! That’s amazing considering they’re shipped eggs. I couldn’t be happier with the quality and quantity of colors! Chicks are 3 days old as of today and they’re all doing amazing. The price is great for the variety of colors! Will definitely buy again in the spring.

Love these babies!
I've been hatching chicken and guinea fowl eggs for 13 years and 'regular' coturnix for 1 year. I haven't haven't been this excited over watching to see eggs hatch in a long time. The eggs arrive a lot earlier than expected. They were very well packed. Out of 24 eggs, 14 hatched. This is above the 30% hatch rate for mail ordered eggs. So far, all 14 are very healthy and active (I do put 3-4 syringe full of colloidal silver in the base of the drinking water when ever I first hatch out eggs or buy baby chicks. I discovered that this saves me a lot of heartache and works better than antibiotics from the vet.). Out of the 10 that did not hatch, 1 had developed but did not pip and 9 did not develop. I did notice that 8/9 that did not develop were all in the same corner of the shipping box. The postal service must have dropped the box on that corner. I am very grateful that I had 14 hatch out. Last year the postal service mishandled some Cornish Cross chicks that I had ordered and they were dying as I opened the box. I am still traumatized over that. I appear to have a variety of babies that hatched including 3 Celadons. I would definitely order again.

Incredible fertility rate!
UPDATE: Of the 23 that went into lockdown, 20 hatched! Of those 20, only one failed to thrive and died. All 19 others are amazingly healthy and strong! Of those received, 80% have hatched out. Of those that went into lockdown, 87% hatched! Already submitted my order for another batch of these eggs! These results are the best that I have ever achieved! Quail egg lottery! Candled on day 8, and 23 of the 25 received are very fertile and developing well! One is a maybe, and only ONE was infertile! I have never had such a high percentage of fertile eggs by day 8! They came SO well packaged, too! Not a single crack or blemish in the lot! Will order more again soon!!!!!

Great starter quail
These were my first quail eggs- intention of raising for eggs. They came quickly, only one had a crack, and I live in Alaska, and they gave me 4 extra eggs, so that’s a win win! You will need to have done research, they don’t come with any information. I had 18 of 23 hatch, no candling, one didn’t make it. I was pleased with the variety of colors, 50% male and the hens started laying at under 7 weeks! Just wanted to get on here and say a decent place to start your quail journey. No idea what the intent is with these birds, and I’ve since got some bred for temperament, had a less successful hatch rate though!

Beginner Friendly Instructions
I have zero experience hatching Quail, I've only hatched one single chicken egg prior. I was sent 24 eggs which arrived earlier than anticipated. Beautiful eggs that arrived in pristine condition. I followed the sellers instructions to let the eggs acclimate to room temperature for 12 hours. Of the 24 eggs I had 17 hatch, fourteen on day 1 that smacked all the surviving eggs around, and three on day 2, one is currently egg bound but he's still trying to break free. I read you should give them 3 days after initial hatch for stragglers and this is the final day so we rooting for him but I'm not optimistic. The 17 chicks are as tame a pure bred golden retriever. They run to my hand in the brooder and will jump in and out of my hand. They're healthier than any chick I've seen at a farm store. This breeder has to be working with some real quality genetics for these birds to not be skittish of me. I was originally planning on eating them but I can't, they're pets now and a new hobby. The unhatched eggs I toss up to being new and using a incubator too small for 24 eggs. I'll buy some celadon (the blue eggs) from this seller once my birds reach maturity and I am confident I've done them right with a larger incubator. If you are looking for QUALITY, here it is! 5 Stars because I can't give 10.
