Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Gentle Snackers Hydrolyzed Plus Low Fat Dog Treats - 8 oz. Pouch

These are nice treats, for one thing they are made by PURINA pro plan and I’m a big y dog it fan of their products. My puppies like them, they are good motivation for housebreaking, etc. They are big enough I can snap them in half, they are crunchy and I like that, it helps keep the dogs teeth clean. And my dogs love them. They are low fat, always a plus. The last thing anyone wants is extra weight on any dog but especially big dogs like my St Bernard’s. It’s hard to carry any extra weight on the joints. The hydrolyzed snacks are a plus too, easier for a dog to digest.

My vet thought my puppy might be suffering from food allergies, so she was put on a hydrolyzed diet. I spotted these and thought they would be a nice change from the marshmallows the vet recommended. My puppy loves them! I think they smell kind of strong and gross, but obviously my puppy feels differently, lol! These are a crunchy treat, so they wouldn't work for a dog that has issues with their teeth or mouth. They do run a little expensive, but so does the specialized food and if it helps my puppy not itch, it's worth the money!

Dog lives these since he is on a low fat diet.

These are pretty hard and look basically like a slightly bigger version of the Purina Pro Hydrolyzed chicken kibble. My dog will eat them, but you can definitely tell he doesn't "love them" as much as regular treats. Still, I really like that they are hydrolyzed so I can safely give him treats while we are on his food trial for allergies!

Perfect for my dog with recurring pancreatitis. He had been on dried liver treats that were too fatty so we switched to these and he loves the taste and I feel better about his health going forward.

Very healthy and my pup just loves these. Just wish they would be a bit cheaper.

My mini Aussie recently had a bladder stone issue resulting in emergency surgery. The stone analysis showed the stones to be urate stones. He was put on a strict prescription diet and he is not to have any food or treats with animal protein. When I asked my vet what kind of treats were okay for him to have, she sent me three different brands that were safe for him. Two of the three brands of treats on the list needed prescription approval. I did not want to deal with another prescription, so that’s why I opted for these treats. They are easy to get, and the price wasn’t bad. They arrived quickly and my dog approves! They have a very pungent smell, but it’s not off putting. They are the perfect size for potty treats. Even my very picky border-heeler chooses these treats over the freeze dried chicken! I’m so glad to have treats both dogs can have and like!

I bought these as an alternative to the treats that my dog usually has. He did not like them. To be fair, he is extremely picky. They aren’t terribly smelly, so that’s a plus. The texture is similar to a cheese puff, so easy to chew.
