A great fan to help cool my high-ceiling garage with a mezzanine that gets hotter than hades in the summer. Solid, heavy construction and really easy to install.I’ve got double-hung windows on both ends of the garage near the peak and I cut a piece of plywood with a 14” square hole to replace the lower sash and mounted the fan on the plywood.I opened the window on the other side about 1/4 of the way to allow cross ventilation.I installed an inexpensive thermostat on the mezzanine side at the same height as the fan so I could adjust the temperature without climbing a ladder.The 14” fan is quiet and moves a lot of air.

I installed the fan in my wood shop. I really like the engineering effort that was put into the manufacture. The frame is so rigid you would have to work pretty hard to twist it out of alignment. The louvers work easily and close tightly. The fan guard is also the mounting for the fan motor and the guard is isolated from the frame with rubber grommets and that setup works really good- you can put one hand on the guard and the other on the frame and there's essentially no vibration transmitted to the frame at any speed. The fan blade seems well balanced although I would have preferred a stiff steel fan blade to cut down on the harmonics when the fan is running wide open. But steel fan blades are hard to find nowadays. Just a sign of the times I guess. So I'm knocking off one star for the noise at high speed. But I find if I run it at a moderate speed it's plenty quiet. One more thing and in retrospect it's probably overkill but I used 1/4" lag bolts and 1-1/2" fender washers over wide rubber bushings to mount the fan frame to my studs. You get to decide, but I consider it cheap insurance against vibration transmitting to the wall.

This exhaust fan is great. The frame is a pretty good and sturdy. The shutters are thin, but thats ok. This baby moves some air!Have it connected to a greenhouse thermostat with a built in rheostat. Have only had it for 4 days, but so far,Im proud of it. Was an easy install, and the price was far less than comperable size exhaust fans.

Husband needed replacement motor for shed exhaust fan. This complete fan was less expensive than purchasing a replacement motor alone. Arrived quickly. Works great!

Nice little fan to exhaust the heat from my shed. I like the fan but the louvers do not close under their own weight which leaves open access to bugs and such. A better quality louver would make this a win.
