I'm delighted, wish I'd bought these years ago rather than making do with cheap manglers.
You know that feeling you get when you find a quality tool after years of putting up with something average (or junk)? That's how I feel now. These are not made for heavy duty electrical work, but they are perfect for working on electronics. Small, light, and very sharp. There is only one tiny criticism I can make, and I'm really being picky here just for the sake of a full review. After factory grinding of the cutting edges for the blades, there was a tiny burr left on each of the leading edges of the little pillars between the wire stripping holes. It's quite difficult to explain exactly what I mean, but you can feel it immediately when running a finger over the flat side of the "scissor" where the blades cross over.. This could possibly cause a bit of a ragged strip on really delicate wires, although the burr is so thin that it would wear off after a couple of uses anyway. (see what I mean when I say I'm really stretching it to find any fault at all?). I gently ran a needle file over the sides of the little "pillars" between the blades a couple of times to knock off the burrs, being careful not to file the cutting edges. I also found the spring a bit weak at first, sort of "spongy" rather than "springy", but after using it for a while you quickly realise that this is probably by design, and means the repetitive motion of opening and closing to strip the wires requires almost no effort which makes it very comfortable to use. I'm delighted, wish I'd bought these years ago rather than making do with cheap manglers.

Quality and Precision.
These wire strippers are precision ground and very sharp. No more yanking the insulation from wires and damaging the conductor in the process. I have tried lots of wire strippers across a wide spectrum of pricing and these are probably the best value ones I've used. They can handle 22 gauge wire upwards (16 gauge max, I think) and are great for the professional and hobbyist alike in electronics or electrical installation. There's a handy thumb operated catch to lock them in a safe closed position as they are lightly spring loaded to aid use. They are made from hardened steel and have comfortable textured rubberised handle grips with hanging holes at the ends of the handles. Due to the design it's possible to use them to strip very short lengths of insulation which would be impossible using automatic wire strippers due to design limitations. Great value for a quality product.

overall good but nut became loose
After a year or intermittent use, these strippers didn't close fully. This meant you couldn't engage the locking tab nor close them properly to strip. You had to manually separate the two edges at the end so they closed properly. I figured out that it was the nut on the joint that had worked loose, which is rather unusual for a pair of pliers 1.5 yrs old, so I tightened up the nut and they were ok again. Precision state not to tighten up with wrench on both sides but to use wrench and allen key, or u can break the pliers. This aside, they are ergonomically comfortable to use and whilst it is not stated if they are insulated or not, the thermoplastic grips should provide some degree of electrical insulation. So fairly good but room for improvement. In hindsight I should have bought the pair for thinner wire but then again i was working with thicker cables for a while so I probably need another pair for thin stuff.

Very nice tool to own.
I have found these to be very useful, they work well and are beautifully made. Letโs put it this way if I managed to lose them I would buy another without hesitation.

The best treat an electronics tech can get themselves
I've used a lot of cheapass wire strippers in the past, these are not cheap ... but they're worth it a thousand times over. From the thickest power wires to the smallest component jumpers these have made short work of them all. I liked them so much I bought a second set with a slightly overlapping set of sizes so I could tackle everything. A+ purchase, huge recc.

Best Yet
These wire strippers just look quality. The grinding of the cutting edge is perfect , producing a razor sharp edge for a clean cut through the outer sleeving. I used them on my cloth covered guitar wiring and they are without doubt the best I've used. Usually I really struggle to get a good clean edge after stripping back, but not today.

Very good wire strips
Some of best wire strippers Iโve ever used. Very sharp very precise, I like these better than the pair of SnapOn strippers I was using.
