Compatible with iPod Classic 6th Generation (120gb model confirmed)
I'm going to hazard a guess that a lot of people looking at this product are interested in using it for the same purpose that I was, namely to put it into an iPod Classic to replace the stock Hard Drive. After much Googling, I couldn't come up with a definitive answer as to whether or not this particular model of SSD would be compatible with my iPod so I figured the only way to find out would be to take the plunge and buy one. Just to be completely clear to anyone with the same question: THIS SSD IS 100% COMPATIBLE WITH THE IPOD CLASSIC 120GB I can't make the same claim for any other model of iPod, but I would proffer a very educated guess that this would be compatible with any Classic model from 6th Generation up - although if you have the thicker backed iPod then you'll need to put something in to fill the empty space and stop it from knocking around inside the case. The Zif connector was immediately compatible with my iPod without any need for any connection adapter, although a connector was provided inside the package with the SSD. Read/Write speeds on this drive are good as expected from an SSD and a good improvement on an old school HDD. An SSD also has the added benefit of being much more durable and rugged than a HDD due to it not having any moving parts to be damaged by a drop or knock. I fully expect this drive to last longer than an equivalent Hard Drive. All in all, a good buy and recommended for anyone looking to put this in a late generation click-wheel iPod. I also believe that this SSD is a suitable replacement drive for a MacBook Air, but as I don't have one of those, don't take my word for it without doing your own research.

found instructions online about the zif interface's latch and it went on nice and easy
Delivered as expected, found instructions online about the zif interface's latch and it went on nice and easy. Recognised by both Ubuntu and Windows 7 on my Dell D430 straight-away (with latest BIOS) and installation went on without a hitch. Boot up time is now super quick and the system is much more responsive. Am glad I made the purchase and upgraded from the old Toshiba HDD that was previously in the system. Two months down the line - still seems as quick, not noticed any degradation in performance.

Works with iPod Classic 6th Gen!
I can vouch that this works as a direct replacement in the iPod Classic 6th Gen. I assume this is also the case for previous generations, but cannot say for certain. Much faster access times and better battery life as you'd expect when replacing a HDD with an SSD. Very happy that I have my iPod working again. But I would recommend as an upgrade for a heavy iPod user, even if it still works (and they have money to spare!)

Sony HDR-SR12 Replacement disk
I bought the Kingspec 128GB solid state zif disk as a replacement for the Toshiba 128GB hard disk in my Sony Handycam. Just wanted everyone to know that it worked seemlessly. The Kingspec disk was a drop in replacement for the Toshiba and it now works silently and is faster and lighter. An excellent product and though it is not advertised as compatible with the Handycam, it is!

Great product but no manual/instructions to guide you through
Replaced a Samsung HS082HB on my Compaq Mini 730 EV Netbook. Fully compatible. Netbook works perfect and much faster.Feels like a much more powerful computer. Really happy. REPLACING PROCEDURE TIP After you replace your disk do not try to find it in your netbook's System Configuration. You will not see it there. You will connect your external DVD with your Windows Operating System CD/DVD in it and you will boot your computer from CD.The installing procedure begins, where you will see your new disk. WHY 4 STARS AND NOT 5 The disk comes in a very nice packaging in which you will find a "tape-style" connector cable as well.Unfortunately no instructions at all and no guides/videos on their website on how to connect your disk on your computer using the cable (which end of the cable is for the disk and which for the computer, how to connect the cable etc.).Fortunately i know the way to do this but there are people who don't.Why KingSpec does not give them some kind of guide/manual/instructions?It would have been no more than 3 or 4 lines.Or at least upload a "how to" video on their official website.

Upgrade for 1st generation MacBook Air (Rev. A)
I bought the KingSpec SSD to upgrade a MacBook Air (1st Generation, Revision A, A1237) which previously had the stock 80GB Samsung HDD. I had read online that upgrading to an SSD would give me a big performance boost on this ancient and sluggish Mac. I wasn't sure how much of a boost I'd see, but after doing the upgrade I feel so much happier with the computer - it's now a pleasure to use. For example, Microsoft Word used to take minutes to open, but now it takes seconds. It seems that the old HDD was imposing a very tight bottleneck on how quickly stuff could move between storage, memory, and the processor. Other benefits include increased battery life, less noise, and (presumably) increased reliability, although I can't comment on the device's longevity, since I've only had it for two weeks. I also bought a RunCore SSD enclosure (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00439FPMW/), which allowed me to hook up the KingSpec SSD to my Mac via USB, and then format the drive and install a fresh copy of Mac OS X Lion. (Tip: don't give the SSD the same name as your current HDD - this will confuse the OS X installer). After doing this, I followed the excellent directions on ifixit ([...]) to install the drive into my Mac. These directions were super easy to follow, although probably not for the faint-hearted. Finally, I moved over my documents, apps, media, etc from backup. This whole process was surprisingly quick - around two hours. If you're still running a 1st gen MacBook Air with a HDD, I can highly recommend moving to solid state - you will see a huge improvement.

I couldn't be happier with this product so far! I replaced my busted Zune 30gb HDD with this 128gb SSD and it worked perfectly and fit within the original Zune's metal casing for storage. It took a total of 20 mins to disassemble and replace. I wish I had this ability 20 years ago when I was using this thing on the daily. I can't speak to lifespan yet, as it's only been a week of use. But so far, I am very pleased with the product.
