This rod holder is amazing, I’m so happy I got a pair of them for my atv. I did have to dremel out the channel a little bit to make some of the wider reels fit but I knew that before I even purchased them so that was easy enough. Once the reels are locked in place they will never come out in rough conditions, couldn’t be happier with these rod holders.

Be careful, just because your rod fit a 1 1/4" diameter opening it does not mean it will fit in this holder. The groove for the reel is very narrow, it might fit some 1000 size reels (I own a few and only some will fit). If you have larger reels, forget it unless you're prepared to make some modifications by widening the groove. I used a box cutter and whittled the grooves wider (not pretty but functional) but you can use pretty much anything that can cut through plastic.

Mounted on the front of Rzr for backwoods fishing trips. The only issue is the opening for the arm on the reel was a little too tight and I had to file it down a bit. Works great and no more spooled off line or broken tips!

Used it on my molle panel on my truck bed. Works great for my purpose. The grooves on the holders are pretty tight, which makes it difficult sometimes to remove. But seeing how is holding in the rods as I drive, it's a minor inconvenience.

Great product for my four wheeler

This product is great however if you are trying to mount this to the rear of your gold cart, I had to but bigger U bolts to make it work.

The mounting system is secure (I put it on a BMW F850GS) and it works great. If you find that your reel arms are too wide, you can pretty easily take out a sawblade's width from each side of the slots and the reels will still fit securely without being too difficult to put in. I used a table saw for this, but you could use a miter saw if you're brave.
