I have a multiple cat household & have tried just about every cat litter on the market. I have allergies and most cat litter really make them worse - the scents are too strong & they are really dusty. This litter is almost dust free. I know pretty much all cat litter manufacturers say that, but this is the only one that I would consider virtually dust free. The other "dust free litters leave a dust cloud in my house! I am very sensitive to litter dust & this is the only litter that doesnt bother me. Even though this litter says it is scented I dont notice any fragrance even when I am pouring it into the box - which is great for me because I am sensitive to fragrances. This litter clumps extreamly hard making it last longer than other brands because you can scoop out all of the soiled spots. It controls odor very well without masking odor with heavy fragrance. The only complaint I have is that it clumps so hard that the clumps sometimes stick to the box if cats urinate quite a bit along the side or corner of the box. I never had any problems with that until the past year or so. I have 3 elderly kitties, one has CKD and one has diabetes (both are being treated/managed & frequently see their vet) but they do urinate more than they used to & usually both go in one corner of the litterbox. Those larger litter clumps stick to the box. I have found sprinkling a little baking soda on the bottom of the box before adding litter keeps the urine clumps from sticking to the box & makes scooping easier. But if you dont have cats with health problems that cause more urine output & you scoop the box regularly you probably wont have that problem anyway.

… as advertised. I take exception to those reviews who say no reduction in dust. Maybe not if you drop and fill the pan from 12” height, then scrape and dig a lot when cleaning. I find significantly less dust when 1) fill pans with a scope and place it in the pan, 2) don’t mine for gold when you clean, 3) use Litter Lifter tool to clean with (longer/wider) and sift the litter by scooping at the bottom and lifting, to just above the surface of the litter. My air purifier sensor hardly registers anything, if cleaning is done right. The scent the product is unnoticeable; odor control hard to tell. I use another product to spray freshen as needed. Cat seems to track less and is not shaking his paws as if he stepped on a thorn after using. So claims of “easier on cat’s feet” seem justified. I saw a pet chain was using this with the cats for adoption, so decided to try. All and all, am pleased. I purchased both scented and unscented to try; generally pleased with both. Likely buy scented again and leave take unscented to the outside pan in the “cat-tio”.

Hands down never going back to any litter. It's the best. It's coarser so it doesn't track as much as others. Doesn't get inhaled as much so it's better for all of our lungs. There is NO SCENT that I can tell however a slight scent gets activated after a cat pees. So that's really nice, very soft light slightly sweet, powdery scent. It has great odor control even for my boy and he has STRONG MANLY urine odor. With my girl I can't even smell it. I hate litters that smell like fwvreeze chemicals like wtf cats don't like that lol! Anyway... My cats like it and don't have a problem with it. My cats LOVE "cat attract" from this brand but it's pricier. If u have a cat that marks etc that litter will make them fall in love lol. I found my guy literally LAYING IN THE LITTER BOX when I did a fresh litter change. This speaks volumes... to note there is NO perfect cat litter. My only negative is that it often sticks to litter pan however clumps are hard. That is a price I am willing to pay. I love Dr elseys quality products :)

Wonderful catlitter

It's super thick. The litter is just about the non scoop-able litter. When cleaning the cat box, it's so think it takes forever to get just the cats' doo-dee's out. It does clump kinda ok. It is hard to scoop the clump of cat pee out of the box when it sticks to the box like cement from the litter bonding to the box. Then, It will break apart, leaving a bunch of cat pee litter clumps all over the box, and you just end up dumping the whole box, and for that, just buy the non scoopable litter in1st place. I have 3 cats. And 3 cat boxes. The litter didn't help with the cat odor smells. So I'm just back to finding a new litter. Again. And having to scoop or dump the box 3xs to 4xs a day. Instead of 1 or 2xs. If you have 1 cat. This litter might be ok for you. Remember, other people's opinions don't matter. It's what you think of the product yourself.

I have been looking for a great cat litter for a long time and the hunt has been going on for a while, I can honestly say that I think I have found my litter! Dr. Elsey's Premium Clumping Cat Litter, is the best cat litter I have ever found. The litter clumps exceptionally well and as long as you are cleaning one a regular basis, there should be no issues with it being too hard to scoop (I noticed other reviews, mentioned concern regarding this), I have a cat that uses the very edge of the box and I have no issues. I think many people are confused by the "ultra scented" name, upon putting this litter in the litter box, I did not notice any smell. Upon research I discovered that the litter only releases scent when they cat uses it, this is great, because now my house does not smell of cat litter, and I can honestly say it really covers any bathroom smells, this is far better than any other cat litter I have ever used. Cleaning the box, is super easy, it just slides out and ok I did have to scrape a little, but it was super simple and really took no effort. As I said previously, I have used every litter available and this is truly the best litter that I have ever used, my only complaint regarding this product was the shipping, one box was delivered in a strong sturdy box (no issues), the other was delivered in a regular box, the litter had a hole in it (due to poor packing) and half of it was missing. Amazon were amazing and replaced the item immediately. This is a great product and I will definitely be purchasing more in the future!

Yes it works and does all that it advertises. I have a Litter Robot and it's the best for not sticking to the sides as it rotates. I need the scented one since my litter Robot is in living area and don't want to smell a Litter Box when I'm eating. With an added regular litter box that has sifting plastic liners, it keeps me from having to change litter every day. With the Litter Robot and regular litter for the two cats only have to change about every 3rd day. Even though Litter Robot works great and keeps the litter clean after each use, they usually like to use it at the same time, so having a 2nd litter box meets that need too. And the sifting plastic liners are amazing. If I had known about them, I probably wouldn't have gotten the Litter Robot. But I'm glad I did. I tried all the other automatic litter boxes and Litter Robot is by far the best at not ever having to scoop again, and odor control. So I would recommend Dr. Elsey's litter for all purpose litter that doesn't track as much, and low dust. Best on the market for the price. Picture included of my recent adoption of a rescue kitten. He ran right to it when I brought him home and has a curiosity every time it runs he has to stand looking in to watch it work. I was so lucky to find such a loving and smart kitten. He's amazing.
