GE electric stove JB655 series cooking element replacement
Our GE electric stove had a 9” burner that stopped working. After looking at videos, decided to take the old burner out. Original burner element had melted a section of the heating coil. This replacement burner fit in the stove space and was connected with the same wiring as the original (took pictures before removing). Works as the original unit should have with existing controls. The hardest part of replacement was getting the unit holding hooks (2) off and back on (used needle nose pliers). My wife is happy.

easy to put in just take your time one clip is hard to put in slide a long bolt threw the clip andpull up.

Perfect fit
Fit perfectly my range. Easy job todo after looking at a couple of youtube video for installation. It saved me a great deal of money. And so far after 4 month, no problem

Functional, but with ceramic cracked
The ceramic heat shield was cracked at the thermometer insertion site across to the edge of the ceramic disc lip. This is probably just my unit, but it is interesting that the description says ceramic imperfections are normal. Could the seller be exclusively selling parts that do not pass inspection for sale at full price? I do not know, but can speculate this here. Since the range has ample fireproof insulation, I took the risk and installed the heating element and it works just fine. So, 3 stars.
