Worked Spot On For Me!
My car oil life tracking indicated 30% left. Car's user manual recommendation is to change oil at 7500 miles and I was at 5000 miles currently. Rather than wait until oil life dips further down, I went ahead and replaced oil and filter ahead of schedule. I then decided to purchase this oil tester detector and tried it out on the old oil which I saved in a 5 gallon oil jug. The tester registered 30% too! I was impressed. The car and this oil tester appear to be using a similar way to determine oil life. I'm sold!

Don't trust the results...no matter what liquid I tested, the results were always the same.
I cannot trust this test kit... I wanted this to work, I really did. But it gave me the same "100%, Oil Good" reading for: Brand new, unused oil, Oil that is known to be contaminated with antifreeze, And a cup of tap water. All had the exact same results..."100%, Oil Good." Not sure this is really testing anything at all...

No Iron identified
I did not use this instrument. I bought it to test for iron in in the oil of a diesel engine. The instrument does not isolate and identify iron content although the product description caused me to believe so. My problem was with the description not the instrument.

Muy buena herramienta si tu le cambias el aceite a algun carro.
excelente herramienta, la usé para probar el aceite de mi carro y de mi familia y funcionó de maravilla. uno tenia 1 mes de nuevo y marcó 100% otros 2 tenian ya rato y me indicó 70% y 40%, de acuerdo al manual el de 40% ya se debe remplazar y si notaba. aunque todavia no estaba quemado. en pocas palabras si tu cambias el aceite de tu carro es una muy buena herramienta para tener.
