Was a little worried because the price was cheap.But So far so good works as advertised

Pretty pointless. After I initially charged it in the house, the solar did not keep it charged, and yes it’s in full sun. It completely defeats the purpose when I have to go out and either manually open/shut the door or bring it inside to charge.

I have been using this automatic coop door, along with one of a different brand, for a few months now and haven't had too many issues with it this far. There have been a couple times that I went to check it and it hadn't opened in am or closed it pm, but you will have that with any brand you get in my experience. Non of them are perfect lol. You can program it to open and close by set times or by light levels that you custome set from dusk to dawn. I have tried both setting and prefer the light setting but the time setting also works well. It have an anti pinch setting that can be turned on or off. With it on, the door will stop and lift back on a little ways before trying to close again everytime it feels resistance when trying to close to keep your chickens safe. It does come with a remote, but I have never used mine. It is solar powered, but it also cones with a charger cord incase it's to cloudy to charge via the panel. Setup and initial programming was both very confusing to my husband and i I. Directions werent ver much help at all and even when we did get it programmed, it still wouldnt open ir close right. It kept registering there was a chicken being pinched it it when it would try to close. We were able to fix the issue after lots of fiddling with it while we were fastening to to the side of the barn. It has a really nice display screen which makes programming SO much easier. The material it's made of seems pretty strong and durable. The door lifts straight up, I would have liked it better if it rolled up inside of the top of the door, but that obviously wasn't a deal breaker for me haha. Over-all this is a pretty decent product in my opinion, and I would definitely recommend it.

Bought this as a gift for my oldest’s Chickens and she loves it. It works remotely which is a big time saver in the morning.

I was skeptical. Install was easy, you just have to make sure you install on flat level surface and do not snug the screws down too tight. Its kind of a pain to program (took the most time). The door worked for about 2 weeks. then just started having a mind of its own. would open and close randomly, then it would continually open and close repeatedly until the battery died. solar charger is a waste. I do not recommend buying.

Maybe the mechanism inside freezes up but the door doesn’t open when it’s cold despite being fully charged.

After buying the first one, didn't work as advertised, requested replacement, replacement received and it still functions like the first. Opens and closes randomly, can't figure out what the issue is. Would love to be contacted by seller, I dislike the fact I've spent this much $$ and still have to go out each morning and evening to let my hens in and out of the coop.

works great but it also works on military time, so if your not careful…. your chickens could be in and out the wrong time of the day lol 😂
