Initially, I was a bit skeptical about buying a refurbished device, but this Echo Show 5 looks and performs like new. Pros: Compact and Stylish Design: The 5.5" screen is the perfect size for a bedside table, kitchen counter, or desk. It’s compact but still provides a great viewing experience for quick video clips, recipes, or video calls. Impressive Sound Quality: For a small device, the sound is surprisingly clear and balanced. It’s ideal for listening to music, audiobooks, or podcasts. Alexa Integration: The Alexa functionality works flawlessly, responding quickly to commands. Having it on a screen adds an extra layer of convenience, like visually checking the weather or managing my calendar. Privacy Controls: It’s nice that Amazon included a physical camera shutter, which makes me feel more comfortable using it in various rooms. Cons: Limited Video App Options: While it handles Amazon Prime Video well, there are limited options for other streaming services, so it’s not a full entertainment device. Charging Cable Length: The cable is a bit short if you’re setting it up far from an outlet. Overall, I’d highly recommend this Certified Refurbished Echo Show 5 if you’re looking for a multifunctional smart device without the hefty price tag of a brand-new one. It’s a fantastic option for anyone who wants to try a smart display or add an extra one to their home.

I’ve been using the Echo Show 5 since May 2024, and after more than two years of daily use, my experience has been largely disappointing. While the hardware itself is sleek and fits perfectly in small spaces, the software and core functionalities fall completely flat. The Cons: Poor Voice Recognition: The device routinely misunderstands basic commands. While weather updates work most of the time, asking for simple word definitions often fails. Music requests are especially frustrating—it frequently plays the wrong track or ignores me entirely when I ask for Telugu songs. Even requesting English songs results in severe lag and frequent unresponsiveness. Terrible YouTube & Browser Integration: The Amazon Silk browser is incredibly sluggish. The YouTube feature is practically worthless; voice search takes forever, yields random results, and won't auto-play. You are forced to manually navigate the poorly responsive touchscreen just to start a video, and voice controls are strictly limited to basic "play" and "pause." Audio Distortion: The speaker quality is highly disappointing. The moment you try to play music at a louder volume, the sound distorts noticeably. Intrusive Ads: To make matters worse, Amazon has added annoying sponsored ads that clutter the screen and ruin the user experience. The Verdict: After more than two years with this device, I expected a smooth, precise, and refined smart display. Instead, I am left with a laggy, unresponsive screen and a voice assistant that struggles with the basics. Unless you just want a sleek digital clock, I cannot recommend it. wrothless !

It is very slow to respond to the commands. Can not control the volume by voice command. When instructed to select and play some thing from youtube it simply gives some choices and not playing them unless we touch the icon of the video on the screen. This gadget is really not up to the mark.
