I'm using this as supplementary sound for my HP laptop because the laptop utilizes an apparently very buggy Conexant ISST Audio driver that doesn't work more often than it does. The speaker provides an effective workaround and has a roughly 2" diameter single driver that outputs reasonable mono sound. It stays on my crowded desk at work connected to a powered USB hub and I plug in when I pull my laptop out of my bag. It's not high fidelity by any means but that's not what I needed for this application or expected to receive from this product. It's capable of producing more than enough volume. The Windows volume control is set on 35% as I listen to music while writing this review. I would definitely recommend it to anyone else with similar needs.

for a cheap t hing, this is pretty good. so many speakers are not USB, sound could be better, only draw back, is that it could have been USB c.but hey, it is cheap. i wish my Beats pill had USB, but is only bluetooth. so much better sound, but also 10 times the money.

I was surprised yet satisfied with this little speaker. I didn't need a big boomy loud speaker for my computer, just something to play sound. well this sounds great and has a nice clean bass sound. Nothing like a subwoofer but nice punchy bass and clear mid and highs.

I recently bought a new laptop that has terribly low speaker volume. Listening to video or music is challenging unless I'm within a few feet of the computer. With this speaker, I can easily hear the news or music from another room while I'm doing other things. I like that it doesn't take up much space, and all I had to do was plug it in for it to work - easy peasy. Also, the USB cord it comes with is probably between 3-4 feet, so I can move it around a bit to where I need it. A very good price for what it is. The only thing that would make it better for me is if there were a volume control on the speaker itself where I could quickly adjust the volume as needed. The volume has to be adjusted through the computer, but it's absolutely not a deal breaker, not worth taking a star off for. Would recommend!

I can confirm that this speaker works fine on my vintage Apple G4 Cube computer I purchased recently, that didn’t come with the factory speakers. The Cube was released in 2000, so it’s almost 25 years old. It is one of the few Apple computers that doesn’t have an internal speaker. The original round translucent Pro speakers with the required special external amplifier that came with the Cube are virtually impossible to find in good condition now. So I tried using this little USB speaker because it says that it works with MacOS. The Cube has two USB ports, so I connected an old Apple keyboard that has USB ports on its top corners to one of the Cube’s USB ports, then connected an Apple mouse to one of the keyboard’s USB ports, then connected this speaker directly to the remaining USB port on the Cube. I can confirm that this speaker worked properly using MacOS 10.4.11 Tiger on the Cube. The sound quality of course isn’t as robust as the Apple Pro speakers, but it’s good enough to allow me to enjoy using the Cube for retro computing. The build quality, cord length, etc., is very good, especially considering the low price of this speaker. I imagine that it will sound fine on modern devices if you’re looking for an inexpensive little speaker. I would like to suggest to the builders of this speaker to consider selling a connected pair, for stereo sound. —JM 11/9/2024

solid USB for a laptop. Use it for our home laptop as the speakers aren't really cutting it on our Chromebook. Just what we needed.

I spilled coffee on my laptop keyboard and my built-in "Bang & Olufsen" loudspeakers now sound like a kids toy in urgent need of new batteries. So, I looked for an easy, plug & play speaker. I looked at dozens of them on line and settled on the USB Plug-N-Play, model LLR054. And, I LOVE IT. ! Why did I pick 'this one' over all the other offers ? Well, I have no idea of what's good or bad so - my pick was based purely on price and, it turns out to have been a GREAT choice. This external speaker is "relatively" portable ( maybe a tad too big ), it has great sound quality both for music as well as speech. All-in-All, I made a good choice and am VERY happy. ! BTW - from order to receipt took all of 48 hours.!

Cute and Small. Easily moveable and can get LOUD! Pleasantly surprised at the ability of the speaker. Love using it for movie nights with my friends. Also the two ports are really helpful. Definitely recommend.

Bought this as a speaker that would hopefully be better than my built in speaker from my laptop. Works well but only can be connected to a USB type A connection, the USB-C adapter will not work.

Love it. Arrives quickly and was so easy to to install. I would refer it to anyone.
