Good value and great coffee
Really happy with this coffee maker. It makes a good cup of coffee and it has a very simple clean type of operation and I like the retro switch. You know it’s on or you know it’s off. I also like the adjustable warming I like my coffee very hot so to keep it at the scolding temperature I prefer makes me happy.

Best Coffee maker on Amazon - 1 year going strong.
This is likely the BEST coffee maker on Amazon. Forget all the other more (or less) expensive coffee makers with functions that you will never use. When you get a new coffee maker it's ohh and ahh for a few days but once you have to wake up at 5:15am every morning and haul yourself into a thankless job a simple coffee maker is essential. I've had drip makers, fancy machines from overseas (you know the one) ones that were SCAA certified on and on and they all had flaws that prevented the one thing I bought them for - tasty hot coffee when I want tasty hot coffee. The main thing I LOVE how easy it is to set the time and auto-on features. No navigating difficult menus only to wake up at 5:15am with no coffee made. Simple is better with coffee and this machine is as simple as it gets. Solid heavy duty construction. Great glass carafe with no dripping. No dripping coffee onto the hot-plate when the carafe is pulled. Knobs are easy to read and turn. Setting the auto-on is the easiest process on any coffee maker or even an alarm clock for that matter.PROS:-Hot coffee.-Tasty coffee.-Evenly distributed water over grounds.-No confusing messy menu or trashy LCD screen.-Easy to program.-Set it and forget it.-Durable. High quality carafe and machine. Lightweight.-Adjustable warming plate.-No useless features.-Easy to clean.CONS:-No fill window on outside (use carafe/pre-measured pitcher/fill lines inside the reservoir. If I could only give one complaint it's that the water reservoir does not have a clear panel on the side for you to see water level. There are easy to read measurements inside the reservoir though. I don't use the included carafe to fill the reservoir - I use a Brita pitcher.Buy this coffee maker! It looks retro and after the novelty of having 200+ settings and some elaborate menu system (or even in some cases none at all) wears off all you're going to want is a hot cup of coffee that tastes good.10/23/2023 update: Still the best coffee maker on Amazon! Not a single issue :)6/23/26 update: still best coffee maker on Amazon!

Great pot.
4 reasons to Love this coffee maker. Cone filter for better flavored coffee, an alarm to let you know the coffee is finished, Auto shut off, for the forgetful, and auto start, for the morningly challenged. One down fall is it is not great under the counter you have to adjust the position for filling.

not a convenient water reservoir.
This coffee pot is not what our previous model was. We had a Cuisinart from 6 years ago. It started leaking sohad to replace it. The new model cost considerably more. It looks nice, works well, but- - - - there is no wayto tell how much water you are putting in except to look into the reservoir and it’s very difficult to read thestep system that is inside. We usually fill our reservoir from our filtered faucet. Now the only way to fill is byusing the carafe and it’s very inconvenient. I see no reason why a small window could not have been in theside as before so one could see the amount of water that is in there. It’s also noisier than our previous brewer.Again, it works well, coffee is good, all of the features are good and it looks good but theres that big, big but- - -I wish companies would quit messing with things that are good just for the sake of a newer updated version toplease some yuppy, gen-xer or whoever. We find something that is good, we like, it works well and looks goodand then mess it up with a lousy way to fill the reservoir. Just info we felt you needed to know. Plus why somuch more expensive? We’ll keep this one but it won’t be convenient.

Fantastic coffee pot, but no clock light..
I love this coffee pot!! It brews pretty quick. It keeps my coffee very hot! Neat little buttons and dials. Coffee pot is very comfortable to hold and easy to pour with no spilling. There is no outside water line to view. It is inside where you pour the water. Like white numbered Lil steps, so to speak. It's doable. It does have a clock, you can set up to brew immediately or set a time to brew later. Auto off can be set up to 4 hours. It also has self clean which is great. Comes with 4 paper filters, a lil coffee scoop. It also has a filter. All of this is great, but, there is 1 down side. Only 1 that I can think of, and it might not matter to others. There is no light on the clock. So, makes it a tad difficult to see the clock. I would prefer my clock has a light, but, I will deal with it. Overall, a fantastic coffee pot!

The best coffee maker!!!
I actually purchased this coffee maker for my daughter. We have had a Cuisinart coffee maker for years! They are the best! My daughter loves hers!

Do you want a coffee maker, or a shiny toy?
This is my second DCC-1200, purchased in January 2021. The first one was purchased somewhere between 1995 and 1998 at the latest. It outlasted my marriage and outlived a cat and a dog. The original one still brews, but something is getting sketchy in the switches and it will not consistently switch on at the preset time, or will shut off mid-brew. I tried to take it apart and fix it, but it successfully fended off my attempts. This thing is built to last, and it doesn't need a sticker that says "No user serviceable parts inside." You will not breach its formidable stainless steel skin with your flimsy screwdriver. As difficult as it was, I had to face reality -- my coffee maker was limping, and needed to be replaced. I can't express how happy I was when I found that Cuisinart still sells this coffee maker. I was dancing around the kitchen laughing and howling like I had dropped a handful of E and drank half a liter of tequila. My dog hid in her kennel. What does it do? It makes coffee. It will pump out 12 cups in 10 minutes flat. It will do that every day for 20+ years without a hiccup. It comes with a nice gold-tone metal filter, so you won't need to buy and dispose of paper filters, saving money and the planet. It has an internal charcoal filter (easily replaceable) to take the bugs out of your water. It has an auto-on function so you can set it to brew at any time that you want to wake up to hot coffee. And this black stainless model looks like a Coffee Terminator Robot. My KitchenAid blender is scaroused, and my Hurom juicer asked for a transfer to the island counter and 24 hour security. What does it not do? It does not "pair" with your phone via Bluetooth. You cannot send it directions from the interwebs. It does not have a backlit 10x12 TFT screen with eleventy-seven menu options. It will not record your coffee consumption and sent it to an app. It doesn't have a built in grinder, or a hopper for your ethically grown small plot bean supply. If you want an honest, reliable coffee maker that will possibly outlive you, this is your huckleberry.

Full Featured and Makes Outstanding Coffee
Nothing to dislike about this. Best coffee-maker I have ever owned. Capable of brewing full-flavoured HOT coffee in small or large batches. Great extraction of flavour (I find most cone filters do this better than basket filters), and lots of customizable features. The metal "gold" permanent filter is a nice bonus - offers a slightly different flavour, but nice, especially if you forgot to buy filters. The water filter is a neat idea too, as long as it is easy to find replacements. I use Brita-filtered water anyway so don't really need it. I appreciate the strength selection option and the special 1-4 cup setting that makes nice strong and HOT coffee for 2 (4 cups really means 2 average mugs). Seems well put together and has a nice retro look. The only thing that doesn't work for me is the water level indicator inside, as I am short and the maker is tall, so I would need to stand on a chair and look down into it to see the water level, but as long as I measure it out properly in the first place (with the carafe) I don't really need to do those gymnastics. Did I say it makes HOT coffee? Most do not, and I have had many coffee makers over the years, so this must be emphasized. Auto shut off is nice too, as I have no memory, lol. No more baked-on coffee film on the bottom of the carafe. If this lasts, it might be the last coffee maker I will ever need. No regrets.

Makes excellent coffee.
This is my second Cuisinart Coffee maker. I bought the new one to replace my old one that was at least 15 to 20 years old. It makes great coffee, easy to iset the timer so that your coffee can be ready for when you step into the kitchen in the morning. Sleek look and is fairly compact. It doesn't take up much room on your kitchen counter or coffee nook.

Great coffee
Love this coffee machine! Our coffee tastes great. Easy to clean & especially like how it pours, no spills! Highly recommend. ♥️
User
Nice features
Easy to use and multiple options for the carafe temp and shutoff are nice features. Makes a nice cup of coffee. Fill area is a bit narrow for pouring water into and not a huge fan of the reusable filter because it is messy to clean out every time you make some coffee. Would recommend.

Ease of use and reliable
This is only our third one in 20 years. They’re easy to use and with regular cleaning and maintenance, they last.
