Deltana CH2015U3-UNL Solid Brass 2-Inch x 1-1/2-Inch Cabinet Hinge with Ball Tips

As many others stated, the quality of these hinges is great! I buy a lot of different hinges for projects, restorations and for my building im restoring. These are high quality, solid brass hinges with a very nice polish. The ball ends are screwed in, with a well machined thread. They are wrapped nicely in a tissue paper to protect the finish, and they ensure that the paper goes inside the hinge, so when it's shipped, the touching sides don't scratch eachother. The only downside are the included screws. They are cheaper quality screws with anphillips head. I would have preferred solid brass screws with a flat head. But I wasn't expecting any screws to be included and I was buying the hinges, so I'm giving it 5 stars! I will buy more of these when I need them!

Surprisingly solid and well made.

The hinges are very good; the screws are not. At all. I highly recommend using the same size screw in steel (after pre-drilling) to cut the threads, and then installing the brass screws. Don't even think of putting a driver into a drill to screw them in; do it by hand to avoid having the heads snap off.

These are very nice hinges, much nicer than they need to be actually. And the price reflects that. They operate very smoothly and are thick, solid brass. Just one ding, nothing to do with the hinges, but the description. The screws are not #7, they are #6. You will need some #6 steel screws for installation, especially in hardwood, so that the brass screws that come with it do not get damaged during installation.

The hinges are great. The screws are not good. I drilled pilot holes and waxed the threads and the screws twisted the heads off anyway.

Great quality hinges. Thicker than I expected, luckily the cabinet doors had enough spacing that I didn't need to chisel the mortise of the old hinge out further. The ball unscrews to remove this pin. And they look great.

These look pretty but I was unable to get them to work. 1. As other reviews describe the screws sheer off, even when pre drilled. If you’re gonna proceed anyway do yourself a favor and go out and buy all new screws. Tried dipping in olive oil, helped a little but still too risky. The worse part is when I finally got everything together the hinges don’t allow the door to fully close on my cabinet so that the far side sticks out, even when they are installed with the cabinets flush etc. likely part of the problem here is that the counter sinking on the hinges isn’t enough to get the screws set flush or a little below the hinge so they lip up ever so slightly.

For the price, these are a great value. I purchase a pair for a boat cabinet, selecting the shiny brass finish. The polishing is very high quality, the fit of the machined parts is excellent and they are exactly what I need for my project.
