Fit for purpose
Not all users need an intervalometer with sub-second resolution but if you do, this is the device for you. I have to fire two Sony A7R IV's that are mounted in an aircraft at intervals that can be specified in multiples of a 10th of a second, like 2.3 seconds. I also require that the two cameras fire simultaneously and that they record the same number images during as session. First I bough the Aodelan wired remote (also a great intervalometer) and split the cable to both cameras. Sadly this didn't work. Only one camera responded to the shutter release commands. I then ordered two Aodelan WTR-2 wireless remotes and configured both receivers to respond to one of the transmitters. Works like a charm! A nice touch is that when you power down the transmitter, the receivers also power down. I suggest that receivers be sold seperately as well so that users who want to fire multiple cameras from one transmitter won't end up with excess transmitters.

this is a must have
this remote is super easy to use, i have used it on both my Sony a99v and Sony a7rII and it works flawlessly , a must have for long exposure shots , like my included pics , also works great to step out in front of the camera and take pics of yourself with or without a group of people !

works OK tethered but total wireless not so easy.
Not as good totally wirelessly as some other remote controls. I bot it because it was cheaper but some of the other remote units for Sony cameras I think would be better choices and work more flawlessly.

Unit failed
Product worked great when first purchased, Dec 26th, 2019 and this week the wireless signal quit transmitting, the remote connected by the cord continues to work properly so that part is working, the transmitter shows no signal. Several e-mails to seller and Amazon have not resolved the issue, feel like I am getting the run around.

Works Great on A6000
I didn't like the wireless app for the A6000 and the infrared remote is worthless outdoors, and got tired of using the 10 sec timer. This remote worked great for wireless remote shutter tested at about 30ft. Haven't tested the other features yet. Only downside is the bulk as both the remote and receiver require 2 AAA batteries.

very easy to learn and use
I really like the price for a full feature product. Some have complained about the instruction manual but I found it better than most. Read thru a it a few times while you have the hand held on and in your hand. It will do almost anything you want. The receiver comes with two port cables to cover most DSLR cameras. You need 4 AAA batteries , 2 in each unit. Other than that it worked right out of the box. I've had a good day in the field with it, no problems.

You can depend on it
This system works quite well, and you can count on it. It is not like the small remote control type, when some times the signals may not hit the right point. Only set back is this system is little too bulky, but gives 100% results.

Intervalometer is not reliable when wirelessly connected to receiver--don't buy for this feature
I purchased the WTR2 because I was looking for a wireless shutter button that also functions as a trusty intervalometer for my Sony a7iii. But the intervalometer function produces highly erratic lengths of exposures when connected wirelessly. And wireless connection is the whole point, is it not? For example, say you are shooting a star trail... if you set the WTR2 to shoot hundreds of 25 second exposures, and you walk 40 yards away with the transmitter to sit in your car with direct view of the camera (and receiver), it will shoot maybe half of the exposures at 25 seconds. The rest will be at random lengths, most at under 1 second in duration. This renders your results absolutely useless. I can only speculate that the transmitter has to remain in constant signal reach of the the receiver during any intervalometer usage AND that the advertised signal reach is not near as far as advertised. Meanwhile, the wireless reception indicator stays on regardless of whether the signal is weak. So you have no warning that your shots are being ruined if signal is too weak. I tried to contact Aodelan customer service for confirmation (from their website) and received no reply. As an experiment, I also tried using the wireless intervalometer feature with the transmitter sitting right next to the camera and receiver. It seemed to work fine then. But at that placement, you might as well be wired to the camera. If that's the case, I'll just use my $15 generic wired intervalometer. It's never let me down. As a simple wireless shutter button, the WTR2 seems to work as advertised. For that reason, I will give it an extra star above what I was originally going to rate.

Does not work for interval multi exposure shooting for the Sony RX10 IV
I purchased the item to photograph the 2024 solar eclipse. The plan was to fire the camera every 10 minutes adjusting the exposure +/- one stop on either side of the initial exposure (3 shots total). I was unable to find a way of accomplishing this with the AODELAN WTR2. The camera fired a single exposure at the set intervals instead of 3. I also purchased the Pixel TW-283. This intervalometer did work for multiple exposure photography at timed intervals with this camera.
