Quicken Classic Deluxe for New Subscribers| 1 Year [PC/Mac Online Code]

I have been using Quicken since 1994 and have data that goes back that far, so I am kind of sadly locked in. I was not a fan of them switching to the "Subscription" model and have offered Quicken my feedback many times, but it would seem that money rules (no surprise there). Anyhow, at this point "it is what it is" as the saying goes. As of the software it is very good and I can easily monitor how I spend my money. I REALLY like that I can easily download all of my financial institutions transaction with the press of one button. I have never used the Quicken payment system. The software at points has had issues but on the whole has been very reliable for me. To this specific product and my experience. My license was going to expire in April. I saw this on Amazon discounted and bought it, entered the renewal code with Quicken under help and manage my subscription and VIOLA my license is extended one year (pretty simple). The key to this product is knowing what you are going to get with it and either wanting that or not. I expect that one day they will move (force) an online product - but that is not today...(thankfully).

Extremely buggy and does not work for monitoring my budget. My hope was to have a program that would link my bank accounts and bills so I could see how much money was going out versus my income. First of all, very few of my bills will link so I cannot get an accurate reading of how much is due each month and when (most of my accounts in Quicken are stuck on the "Fix It"). Also, Quicken gives me an error when trying to sign into some of my bill accounts to link stating that the login/password is wrong even though I just logged into the account online using the same information. Second, Quicken does not update the very few accounts that it can access. My credit card and bank accounts balances do not match what is shown when I view the accounts online (off by a magnitude of 10x). Also, the only "Charge" showing on my credit card is the monthly payment. I cannot see any purchases and the payment is shown as a charge not a payment. Third, Quicken's support is of very little help and after 5 months of use, I have been unable to resolve any issues. Frankly, I am surprised this program has become so popular with all of the bugs it has. My hope was to make my budgeting easier, but trying to resolve all of the bugs has made it much more difficult than just using an Excel spreadsheet and tracking everything manually. I am just upset that I spent the $35 for the 1 year subscription.

A long time favorite program for financial tracking and planning. Easy to use, with a wide selection of budgeting and reporting options. Is capable of being integrated with TurboTax.

I ordered this product as I have for years; however, since I am current customer it would not accept my activation code. My fault; however, they had accepted for the prior 4 years when I buy during Black Friday. I requested refund and it was honored, I would have been 5 stars other than the extra effort. I ordered at the same price but was not labeled new customer only and was able to extend subscription at a fair price for another year.

Your money. Not addressing problem, not allowing a "downgrade" from a current product that's functioning poorly. They allow customers of 25 years (Intuit as well) to pay twice or upgrade. No don't buy this unless you have never used Quicken Products before. Bc now, I also can't uninstall it because I downloaded it from Amz - my error was in selecting New To Quicken instaed of checking "Changing or Renewing Current product. So absolutely fed up with corporate greed (I'm 70, I have dearly earned the right to write) that , first product to be ousted is Quicken, all of them - they auto renewed me one day prior to End Subscription. So, this is not only my final Rodeo with Quicken Norton Products are next, the current nightmare is 360 with PWM which also no longer functions. YES YES YES naysayers, I *have* contacted both institutions (Quicken and Norton). It's a 2-3 hour ordeal per company bc Tech Support is meant to frustrate and Reps are , literally trained to dumb down both their use of American English and Tech Support Knowledge. Quicken is prepared for the inevitable hang-up by customers knowing that they will W$n W$n W$n once you've given up. Please, if you have the tenacity to, stand your ground by requesting the "Guaranteed [promised] 30 Day Refund" which simply isn't true. Amz also can't help if you've already downloaded the Digital Subscription. How else would we know it's incompatible if we hadn't downloaded it ? The only solution is to keep all correspondence then contact your Bank (Credit Card used) to Dispute. I'd so much rather just work it out with either Quicken or Amazon. Instead, this customer has "Gone Fishin' "

If you're a little old school like me, you should like Quicken Classic. I've been using a version since 2010. There's a little bit of a learning curve in getting it set up and customized to your satisfaction, but it works great, allows you to have multiple Quicken data files, and prompts you promptly to back up your file. Makes account reconciliation a breeze.

Quicken software is pretty good but support is rather poor. You are reliant on the “community” to get any answers. The subscription model is awful. Im so tired of companies who abuse their existing customers by charging them substantially more than “new” ones. Whatever happened to rewarding loyal customers? I will likely continue to use Quicken, but will actively seek a suitable replacement.
