Well made. Beads move smoothly along rod. Good for keeping track during complex fitness routines.

They were Christmas gifts for my violin studio as repetition counters. These are cute and small enough to fit in the pocket of a violin case. Also, very durable showing no signs of breakage with use. The students love them and have made great progress.

I am a first grade teacher and am very pleased with these. They are made well, and the beads are good size for little hands. I didn't find them "loud" at all as one user commented. They could be used at the rug laying flat on the ground, or upright at students' desks. I think for a class set of 25, the price is actually quite reasonable. I've purchases a few other hand2mind items, and have them all to be well made and of good quality. I would definitely recommend these.

Storage is much easier in a classroom than a standard-size student Rekenrek and the students have no difficulties with the small size.

I was actually happy to see reviews saying they came apart easily. A quick twist back and forth (what I’d expect a small child to do immediately) and the glued dowels began to break free. Didn’t take much more effort before the beads were falling off the rods. I reglued them all with a bit of super glue, and clamped them for a few minutes and they are rock solid now. I rearranged the beads to make four 119-point two-digit decimal scoring abaci for my game room. See photo.

I needed extra manipulatives for my students. This was something I’ve always wanted. It’s small enough for them and does the job. The price was reasonable. Thinking about ordering more.

Both my first grades use these at school! They are a great contribution to our hw station and helping with their counting. Definitely recommended 👌

My son loves our full size abacus, but it's not portable so we were looking for a small version. These are perfect! Easy to throw in the backpack and he loves it. Great quality and we like the red and white colors.

These rekenrek are well constructed and the perfect size. My k/1 kids love them.

My daughter was doing math work at nursery when i saw these and thought i would get them to give to her class and they loved them, both the nursery nurses and the children got a lot of lay from these and i personally think it is something my daughter will always remember from nursery as they're made well and she and her friends all had their names on theirs.
