I tried a few different options to get Apple Car Play in my 01 Mercedes. This unit works great! Set up in seconds, and looks exactly like the car play system in my other car (2023). Music plays through the car radio via the FM station. I found that if I tune the radio to 87.7 and the unit to 87.6, it eliminates any static. Now, the volume level isn’t as loud as the radio, but it’s perfect for me. It helps that the car is super quiet, so I have no issues. But if you’re expecting to crank it and bang your head to death metal, it ain’t gonna happen. I attached it to the dash with Command Strips. That way the dash won’t get damaged when I have to remove it. The unit is small enough that it doesn’t block my view. All around a great way to get Apple car play in an older car.

I had low expectations for this, but needed an android auto for an older vehicle, and it was on sale so I gave it a try. For the price the capability is pretty amazing - the builtin speaker is even usable if your car isn't too loud. And installing couldn't be easier. Android auto pairing was automatic and easy and everything else just works. My only complaint is that the suction cup really didn't want to attach to my windshield and took several tries but now it is finally sticking. I'm presently using it in my wife's car, which is pre-bluetooth, so may end up buying another for my original project and leaving it there. It's good enough that I won't hesitate if it goes that way.

I had it for it for only 2 days an it will not stay up it keeps falling down an I hate it .

I got this for my husband and he said it works great. Easy to set up, connect, and put to use. We’re Apple people and he’s been very pleased with the car play interface. The only draw back is that the rear camera is an “all or nothing” option. When you plug the camera cord in, the screen is the backup camera all the time. You lose the CarPlay, maps, and audio interface. We’ll probably exchange it for the non-camera option since plugging and unplugging the camera based on when he needs it isn’t convenient for him. (The car has a rear camera already, it’s just older and a bit off center.) If you don’t have a read camera, the image was clear and installation was simple enough, so it’s a good option if you are willing to deal with the plug-unplug hassle.

I think this is my 1st review and I bought many items over the last 15 years. This product is well worth the money. I can't compare to any $200 plus similiar product but I read the stats and other than a bigger screen, (7" by the way is very acceptable.) it has all the features the higher price devices. You might get a bit lost setting up the volume for different venues or how to navigate it, but it only takes a little time. I found the sound Equilizer to be quite good and the music & speech sounded great via the 3.5mm wire your my system I have a 2019 Toyota Camry with 8" screen. Note- Toyota dropped their nav system. I have an android Phone 5g Moto Sytlus, (great battery life). Back to this radio. The touch screen works well, and you can change screen brightness for both day & night. So for the money, I now have Nav with voice command, (Waze & Google Map, love Waze though.) this is a great unit. I only had it a day, so the proof will be how well it stands up after use and I will update this review based on that. Date 01/08/25. So, I was having some problem loosing connection especially with WASE App, and I wrote APHQUA support, and they responsed the very next morning. They supplied me with a New Firmware which I uploaded to my device, and went through the initial startup again. That help emensley and when it did loose GPS, it immediately recalibrated and had the directions back on line pronto. The new Firmware changed the setting look a bit and I think they are better. So, buying these products on line maybe fast and sometimes cheap but unless you have a GOOD company and staff that will support and follow up, your product might be useless after a year. Didn’t stay connected to phone, touchscreen is slow, couldn’t recommend it

It does everything as advertised even while charging your phone on the go. The built in sound equalizer is the key to getting good sound from the unit to your stereo system in your vehicle. I can listed to world radio stations, music services and see my map programs in a bigger size! The other great part it that it will pause music and ready you text messages to you too.....consistently. Not need for a satellite tuner in the car because if you have the app on your phone; car-play will make it happen with this device for you! To date, good construction and working quite well. 4 months and counting.

Revising my review downward to two stars after I installed the backup camera and it didn't work properly with no practical help from the product support representatives. When the engine is on, the camera hardly or dosen't work due to the voltage modulation provided to the camera by most modern vehicles including my 2008 AudiTT 3.2. The seller never made me aware of this issue and even pretended they didn't know much about it. Very dishonest communication from the product support representatives. That's why 2 stars, if they had actually been honest and tried to help I would have given 3 or 4 stars. My video is with the engine running. The photo is with the engine off but power on. Very disappointing and totally unessasary. All they needed to do was supply a power relay to stabilize the car's power to the camera with the unit.
