I’ve used a lot of coconut coir products over the years, and this is one of the better ones I’ve purchased. The first thing I noticed is how clean it is. Many cheaper coco coir bricks seem like they were swept off the floor of a processing plant and contain sticks, chunks, fibers, or random debris you have to pick out by hand. This one was clean, consistent, and ready to use. The block itself is huge. I actually split mine in half with an axe and hydrate it in two separate batches because one full brick expands into an enormous amount of material. In my case, a half brick fills a wheelbarrow with fluffy hydrated coir after adding water and letting it sit for about an hour. This makes an outstanding base for homemade soil mixes. I combine it with composted manure, earthworm castings, mineral rock dust, quality potting soil like Fox Farm, and sometimes even inexpensive store-brand potting soil to create large quantities of rich growing medium at a very reasonable cost. The texture is light and fluffy and provides excellent aeration for roots. Plants seem to establish quickly in it, and it holds moisture well without becoming dense or muddy. I also appreciate that this coir appears to be properly washed and low in salts. Some cheaper coir products can cause problems because they weren’t processed well, but this one has performed beautifully for me. If you garden at any scale and like making your own soil blends for containers, raised beds, seed starting, or houseplants, this is an excellent product and a very good value for the amount you receive.

I get this every month or two, the quality is the best of the three brands I've tried. Works great to mix with compost, perlite and vermiculite for excellent potting and raised bed soil. Also is great for as a rooting medium. Quickly expands when you add water,great lightweight texture.

Love this for my garden plants helps to keep moisture from sun dryness. Very good money well spent.

Absolutely love the coconut soil especially for this drought Florida is having at the moment where natural moss and miracle-Gro just isn't cutting it You need something that's going to hold moisture and this really does it The texture is perfect The weight well it's 10 lb obviously The water absorption is naturally perfect The water retention is amazing I went to check on my grave that I bought this for and the plants there are surviving during this drought because of the health they have from the retention of the water very little dustiness

This is very very premium stuff, Very clean I really like the product,The only drawback is it comes in one block,If you want to use a small amount it isn’t easy, I tried to cut it and even saw it, It’s so compact and complicated, I’ll be more careful to notice such a thing in the future.

THEY SHOULD KNOW 1. THE WATER REALLY BREAKS IT DOWN SMOOTH. 2. MODELLOR REALLY GIVES YOU A GREAT 10 LBS OF GREAT BULBS AND SEEDS. 3. MY FLOWERS IN THE POTS ARE GROWING FASTER THAN I CAN PUT THEM IN THE GROUND. I LOVE THIS. I REALLY DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT BUT WHEN IT CAME AND I PUT IT IN A TUB WITH A LID AND IT JUST KEPT EXPANDING AND I LOVED IT. IT WAS EASY TO FILL UP MY POTS, IT WAS EASY TO PUT BULBS AND SEEDS IN AND THEM COVER WITH MORE OF THIS. i CANNOT EXPLAIN IT BUT AM LOVING IT AND I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE TO TRY IT. IT WORKED FOR ME.

Excellent product. Excellent water retention. Good price. Great alternative to peat moss which should be avoided due to environmental issues.

This is my ‘go to’ coco coir. It has always been consistent, expands quickly, and creates a huge volume. My plants have loved it and grow like crazy.
