I love the fact that this bulb is WiFi connected and ...
I bought this knowing it was an early version but based on past experience with Anker I figured it was worth the risk. 1st the pros. The bulb does everything advertised via the EufyHome app. Different colors, intensities, various levels of white, on off. Pairing was a quick and simple process. I love the fact that this bulb is WiFi connected and needs no hub. The flow feature which cycles colors and the favorites with pre-programmed color cycles are so much fun. Music mode is also very fun. You need to allow mic permissions to your EufyHome app, but the Lumos pairs fairly well with the music. I noticed a slight lag, but still a whole lot of fun. The EufyHome app worked very well. I do wish that the white mode for this color model had various temperature settings. I also need to add lamp harp extensions to fit this bulb in the lamp I was using it in as it is longer than a standard bulb. Voice commands are still a work in progress. I connected the bulb via Alexa and Google Home. When they work this is awesome. You can turn the light on and off, set colors, set modes and set brightness levels. I did experience frequent disconnects. For Google Home this seemed to be more frequent via my phone, less so from my google home mini. Still frequent enough on the mini to be annoying. It does seem to occur more frequently when doing a sequence of commands. For Alexa I have an Amazon Tablet and the Android app. Alexa seemed to struggle more with voice recognition. Alexa also had a noticeable lag. Both systems occasionally translated Eufy as U.V. This was alleviated to an extent by renaming the device in the EufyHome App. The EufyHome app could use some clean up and additional functionality. For instance the Share Devices does not seem to apply to the Lumos Smart Bulb, but the bulb still shows up with no clear way of sharing. With these issues why 5 stars... With WiFi integration this bulb has a very high cool factor. Not needing a hub makes this easy to integrate into a smart home. The EufyHome app works very well to control the light even when voice controls have issues. But the biggest reason for 5 stars is that the EufyHome fills my current needs and I'd definitely purchase this again. The range of colors and the flow mode work exactly as I hoped they would and white mode covers all use cases for a standard lamp light and gives me variable brightness intensities in a light that was previously only off and on. All in all the Eufy Lumos has been a big winner.

Great lightbulb with good color range and brightness. Only problem is that the app and Alexa integration aren't amazing.
I wanted to get an RGB set up for behind my iMac and instead of trying to find a reliable option out of seemingly hundreds or paying up for the Philip's Hue solution, I decided to get this instead. I had previously owned a Eufy tunable white lightbulb for about a month before buying this. The only difference, really, between this and the tunable white was that this offers RGB colors. While this sounds pretty cool, I actually don't use that feature because it has become fairly inconvenient. But before I get into a rant about that, I want to say that, regarding just the lightbulb itself, it is a great lightbulb. It fits into any standard lightbulb socket and is fairly bright. The color range is good, but not amazing, and the brightness takes a hit when using different RGB colors. I was concerned with how warm the lightbulb was, but a month of use, it does not seem to have harmed the lightbulb. Using the Eufy app, you can choose from a range of presets that adjust the color or range of colors the lightbulb emits. The app has three different settings, white, color, and strobe (?) where the colors change. With the white setting, you can choose the temperature of the light, and with the color setting, you can choose from a fairly wide spectrum of colors. The strobe feature offers various settings to change the color range and how quickly it cycles through that range. You even have the option to save settings as favorites. I have a few set up, for instance, one for when I'm studying and other for before I go to bed. These are useful but only when you are in the Eufy app. And that is where my problems with this lightbulb begin. My only concerns have to do with the Eufy app more than the lightbulb itself. First of all, Eufy does not work with Apple's Homekit. I purchased a Wemo bridge to connect my Wemo light switch to Homekit in order to take advantage of Siri to control my room lights. I wanted to be able to use Homekit for all of my smart home needs, but with the Hue line costing too much for me and with Wemo not having their own light bulbs, I had to settle on getting Amazon's Alexa as a secondary smart home assistant. Second, the Eufy app is only useful when it's open. The Alexa app can connect Eufy's app and the lightbulb, but it cannot communicate with it beyond turning it on/off and changing the brightness. Alexa cannot access presets in the Eufy app and it cannot change the lightbulb's color via voice controls. You can have Alexa change to colors that the Alexa app deems as presets, but you cannot access your own Eufy presets through via voice controls. In the Alexa app, you can create "routines" for your smart home, where certain voice commands can toggle different things on and off. The only interaction between Eufy and Alexa is again on/off and the brightness. If I want to take advantage of Eufy's presets, I have to go into the app itself, which defeats having voice commands to control the lightbulb. That being said, the lightbulb is great if you don't mind using the app to change your settings. Because whatever you have it plugged into has to be on at all times to power the lightbulb it does get annoying having to use the app or Alexa to turn it off. I have created Alexa routines to turn the light off or change its brightness, but I don't have one to change it's color because it does not sync with the exact setting I created in the Eufy app. Again, this is more of a limitation with the app itself rather than the lightbulb, but it is still annoying. Despite that, I do think this is a great lightbulb,=.

Loved them so much, I gave some to my girlfriend
These bulbs are great! I first got mine over 6 months ago, and my only complaint was the app, it was "ok" but not great. But that didn't matter so much as they connect to my Google Home and I control them with my voice. Now that is way better than any app! Got 3 for my girlfriend this Christmas and she's loving them too. Realized they updated their app (at least on iOS, haven't checked on Android) and now it is great! Also, they integrate with Alexa (what my gf uses). So, overall, 10/10. Super affordable compared to Hue, and perfectly functional.

Good bulb
The bulb is good when it works. Most of the times Alexa and Google won't be able to connect to it. It works better sometimes with the Android app but I purchased it to use with the home automation products. I had high hopes for the product and it is frustrating to see it not working. I don't have any problems with the home wifi network as I have two smart switches from a different company and they work flawlessly with Alexa or Google. In app Chat support is not great either. The chat stops working in the middle. Not sure if the support stops the chat since they can't support the product. It produces different colors fine. I would have preferred it to be a little more brighter. ------------------------------ Update: Eufy customer support reached out to me and provided with a replacement bulb. Things are a "little" better now with updates and hope for it to be excellent with the future updates. Changing the rating to 3 stars purely based on the responsive customer support experience. Appreciate all the efforts and follow-ups done by the customer support team.
