I got this you for a 4 year old boy and he loved it! After many years of use it still looks like brand new, durable high-quality materials. It's a toy drill, bolts, and board that can be used to make countless designs. I like that it also has an educational aspect with making designs, counting the bolts, etc. Very easy to use also, no trouble moving the bolts around or putting them in the board. Another thing that was really cool is the drill actually works like a very safe kid version of an actual drill. It can put the bolts in or put it in reverse to take them out. Highly recommend this toy, hours of fun!

The kids recieved this brand new toy from Educational Insights! This may be a new favorite in our home! From the 2 year olds to the 8 year old and all my kids in between, they all have had so much fun playing and making designs! The Design & Drill See-Through Creative Workshop comes with the base piece, many double sided templates, a bunch of colored screws, various hand tools and a battery powered drill with interchangeable bits. So fun! It is high quality and well made. Kids can use a template or make their own design. I like that it inspires creativity and helps kids with their fine motor skills. Such a great toy and highly recommended!

Really cool toy. Keeps my 2 year old really busy.

This toy has come in handy keeping my 3 1/2 year old son busy on some rainy days. I like that it is helping him build his fine motor skills and recognize patterns. The power drill is a good size and pretty light, so it is easier for him to handle than one we have from another tool set. The screwdriver is actually his favorite tool; I taught him righty tighty, left loosey, which he thinks is pretty hilarious. The wrench hasn't gotten much use, but I appreciate that the set has several options. The clear base and colorful plastic bolts add to the appeal of this set. However, I do wish that the pattern cards slid into the base or were secured somehow. My son will sometimes push or pick up the base while he's playing, and since the pattern card just sits under the base, it has to be realigned. * Note: I received this product for free, but opinions are 100% my own.

I bought this for my 3 year old nephew. He absolutly loved it and could use the electric drill just fine. He had trouble with the hand screw driver, but this is a perfect gift to work on those fine motor skills! However, my 5 year old niece also loved it as well and took to drilling while he was napping. She enjoyed counting the numbers of screws needed as she matched them to the patterns. The parts are sturdy and the pieces are strong. The drill does make some noice, but it is not loud, and has both a forward and reverse mode like a real drill. I love that is also has a wrench My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the colors on the pattern mats do not match the screws. The dots that match with the orange screws are a golden yellow and the dots that match the red screws are more of a dark pink color. The purples don't match perfectly, but at least it is a shade of purple. The green is the only one that truly matches. I feel this is an easy fix for the company and something that should be fixed as 3 year olds are working on colors and matching. But other than that, this product is amazing!

Was really excited about this, but the screwdriver broke on first use. It’s held together by a tiny metal screw that goes into plastic without threads? Not even sure how that was supposed to even hold together. Looks like maybe the screw had glue on it and it just wore off? Not very toddler friendly. It broke apart and my kid had the tiny screw within seconds of unpacking this toy.

My grandson loves the toy, but the drill stopped working after 2 minutes. Luckily there are manual ways to screw in the pieces. Otherwise it was a hit. Too bad though for the price. My grandson won’t part with the rest of the toy, so I can’t return it. Trying to find a way to contact the company to send me a new drill.
