Works better than older ones
Great expansion hub for the Mac Mini. This seems to be an upgrade from previous versions. It is much more stable than ones I used before that would alway cause failed-to-eject error messages if you bumped a cable. The only problem I have with this one is that the USB ports are upside down, preventing me from using it for my Yubico key. Otherwise, an excellent hub.

Works with Mac Mini Intel Chip.
I bought a more expensive model that had an active fan to cool my Mac Mini but the fan stopped working. If you own a Mac Mini you know how warm they can be and really needs an active cooling mechanism to keep it cool. I did not want to pay over $100 for a replacement so opted for this unit. It provides a passive cooling by convection and works perfectly. Consequently the cost is much less that the active units. It does have the same number of ports including an SD card reader. I can't be more pleased and I don't have to worry about the fan not working. It fits my Mac Mini with an Intel Chip perfectly.

Almost flawless
Upon connecting to my 2023 Mac mini I was getting that disconnect error. Me being the engineer that I am I wanted to fix the issue. The first thing I did was the obvious, change out the usb-c cable for a higher quality cable and bam! It works flawlessly. To the manufacturer, find another vendor for your cables.

I love Mac products but
I have been using Mac products since 1984 and my first Macintosh, which I still have packed away somewhere. Their computers are more expensive but they just work, in an easy to understand, reliable way. The only downside I have found in all the many Macs I have owned is the number of ports or lack of them. That's where the RayCue Mac Mini Hub comes in with all its extra ports and well placed card reader I now have enough ports to plug in my accessories SD cards etc. It will also hold a 2TB SSD which I use to store all my work. Well made and a great price.

Functional and Accessible
This hub was easy to setup and provided the layout of additional ports I've been looking for. The attachment cord is provided and the drive slot is easy to access. Very simple, no-nonsense hub. No issue setting it up and it serves my purposes just fine.

OK for extra connectors, not good for hard drive, not worth the money I paid for it.
There were too many disconnections from the computer using the stock USB cable that was provided by manufacturer, the connectors started to work fine after I replaced stock cable with high quality thunderbolt cable from OWC. The harddrive connection however gets still disrupted even with the new cable few times a day, I would never use this for keeping a system hard drive there, only a data drive with occasional use. The speed of access to HDD is fluctuating, sometimes it reaches advertised numbers but other times it gets very slow, down to around 10 Mbit/s at most, it looks like they used the cheapest possible components and put something together just to sell it in large quantities - see my screenshot pictures. Not a high quality product that I would expect from a Mac accessory, I would say it should cost $20-25 at most. Buy it for extra hub connectors and cooling but don't expect a miracle from the HDD performance, replace the stock cable that they send you in a box with a high quality cable the 1st thing and throw that stock cable away.

Solves the Expansion Issue Easily
Simple to install on my M1 Mac Mini, added a 1TB Crucial SSD and was up and running in 6 minutes. Attractive to see under the Mini, looks and works just as expected. Extra USB ports handy and easy to access. Very happy.

It doesn't charge the Mac anymore
Very light weight and small in size, which is good. I use it mainly with my wireless mouse, and sometimes it suddenly stops working. I have to wiggle it to make it work again. At first I could connect the Mac cable to charge the Mac, but it no longer works, not sure why.

it works fine with bluetooth keyboard and trackpad linked to my Mac mini All ports work well The USB3 ports support attaching a floppy 3.5" drive (old Infocom discs) and a Samsung Blu ray drive - working well with MakeMKV. Not tested using both at the same time! I have a 2TB Samsung SSD in the drive space and it works well as a Time Machine disc. No dropouts overnight, but it did dismount this am - I don't know why. The drives are not set to sleep and no power glitches. Perhaps in need of a firmware upgrade? I presume that the controller for this hub can be updated? I'll keep an eye on this Summary - looks great and works as advertised (better than as the blurb says that will not support drives attached to the front ports (does not support the Apple super drive - who still has one of these around?) Updated: after a week or two, I can confirm the problem with the disc drive being unmounted has gone. I did two things: 1) in settings, set 'prevent automatic sleeping when display is off' to ON 'put hard disks to sleep when possible' set to OFF (the drive is an SSD, so no need to spin discs down 2)) replaced the USB C cable with a short length cable from Anker - I did think of trying the original cable but it is now working well, so why rock the boat! Now, the system is working faultlessly and has 5 stars

When you want ports on the front (instead of the back - Apple are you listening!) this is an amazing little add-on and at a great priced. Bought as i needed the extra storage space AND the extra ports i.e. card reader - and a very simple process to get a 2.5" sata drive added. Goes great with my silver mac mini, no issues with port usage i.e. things power correctly. highly recommended.

If you own an M1 or M2 mac mini and don't pick one of them up, you are missing out. More ports than you need and adding back the SD card slot that Apple decided to remove ads that little cheery on the top for me. Not forgetting the expansion sata 2.5 slot that I have a 2tb ssd in. Truthfully, great price for a well thought out and put together bit of kit.
