Worth a try. Very useful
Really useful magnet. Love the on / off feature. Expensive but makes life easier!

Not great for round stock
I ordered these to weld round bar stock. I found these just didn't stick very well and determined they wouldn't be suitable. When I tried to return them stating they were not suitable for intended purpose, there was no option to return them, only option was to contact the manufacturer. These were sold and shipped by Amazon EU.

I used to have the silver line ones which where not very good, these are a step up in quality and strength... overall they are not bad but could do with being cheaper

No Welder should leave home without it
The Magnet itself is heavy for the size and that is meant as a positive comment. I was thinking at first of buying the 2 cheaper ones on here and in the end decided to buy this one. That was a great move on my part as this magnet has a lot of strength and is big enough to hold heavy pieces of metal. The best feature is to be able to shut the magnets off and allow one to align two pieces of metal without the metal being sucked into the magnet before one can have them aligned to perfection. I also have found another good use for it and that is on the table saw where one can position it on any spot on the table for cross cutting measurements . Now it says that it will hold 90lbs. I am not sure on how they come up with that number as I can pull away any piece of metal with about 10lbs of muscle strength. No big deal as I am very satisfied with it and highly recommend it.
