Yes it can be done but will take a longtime to get the test pressure up.

Is this manually operated?

Yes, manually operated. You have to open and close two valves and move the lever by hand in a certain order to purge the system and then add pressure. It works quite well for our testing operation. Have used it a few dozen times now.

Great Product

Excellent product, complete overkill for what I needed, but that's how I shop :) The construction is very sturdy steel, which is why I went with it, rather than the plastic model beneath it, but I needn't have bothered I suspect, the smaller one would have been more than sufficient. This is a pro model by my estimation and goes to far higher pressure testing levels than you'd ever need in residential - but I'm no pro.
