A great product but with an installation issue...
Update.... Fanally, after five years of reliable use the mixer has failed. It leaks badly from the bottom of the mixer bar. As we have had the use of this for five years, almost to the date, it is very good value. At just over £30 it works out at close to £6 per year or just over 10p per week to buy this. Although I am tempted to replace the one that has finally failed with the same product, this one, I have been searching for something similar but can't find anything. So, it quite likely that we will be using the same product again, which I don't mind. As I metnioned in the original review, the jubilee clips need to be tightened soon after installation but throughout the five years I have had to retighten the clips at least once per year and at least three times over the five years I have had to remove the bar completely and refit it again, due to leaks around the taps. It's not a big deal and is only a short few minutes to complete but it would be good if this product was improved so that users don't have to keep messing with it. I am still recommending this as it has lasted a good five years but if I find something better I will obviously buy that product It was difficult to conclude but I finally decided that this product deserves 5*. The issue is as other reviwers have pointed out, it tends to leak at the tap attachment, when first installed. However, there is a simple solution and it doesn't require tape as some have suggested. Simply follow the instructions and install the product. Run both taps and it is likely to show a leak at one of them. Leave it for a hour or two then retighten the jubilee clips. I don't know why this happens but the jubilee clips tend to have more give when they have settled. Once I retightened the clips, there is no leakage whatsoever. So, don't be put off by reviews that highlight the leakage as a problem as it isn't a problem due to it being easily resolved. One of the best things I like about this shower hose is that it can withstand my water pressure, which is extremely high. It makes for a great shower due to both the pressure and the fact that this product can handle it. The system is easy to install and only takes a few short minutes. The one negative thing I find, which is possibly just my own opinion and that is the shower head. For some reason I find modern, plastic, shower heads to be ugly looking. They tend to be bulky and cheap looking. Setting that aside though, the shower head does the job it's intended to do so I can't really score the whole product down because of my own aesthetic preferences. I do recommend this product highly as once the leakage is sorted it is a great product and comes at a good price thus good value for money.

Does the job fine. A few observations.
Not absolutely perfect, but fine for the purpose, and hard to see how it could do the same function and be significantly improved. I bought and installed one of these to give expected visitors the use of something akin to a shower. It worked well enough that I bought a second for our equally-unequipped en-suite. In both cases, attaching the mixer unit was simple enough, but required some strength to get the connectors over the taps (three rectangular cross-section, one oval - don't ask). I also struggled with the second because one of the taps had been installed at a slight angle, making it hard to engage both taps simultaneously. I tightened the first using a screw-driver - it took several attempts, a fair amount of muscle and a decent screwdriver to get the connection water-tight (especially the hot tap, which I found became looser again as the assembly warned up - I probably tightened it more half a dozen times or more before I was happy with it). On the back of feedback here I installed the second using a socket set (7mm socket) - and, oh, the difference! Water-tight first time. Offhand, I'd say that the unit ought to fit pretty much any tap profile, IF it's adequately and properly tightened. One minor observation: the fitting instructions call for a 5mm masonry bit; the plugs supplied with mine actually wanted a 7mm bit. Oh, and it's blindingly obvious, but - put the plug in the bath before you start any fiddling! I almost lost one of the retaining screws for the shrouds covering the jubilee clips down the plughole, thanks to forgetting to put the plug back after checking the unit was watertight... Also, be aware, if you're shopping around for one of these, that some outlets are currently showing the correct image but supplying a rather different product with a mixer unit with push-on, pull-off rubber connectors (I'm looking at you, Argos). Probably perfectly decent if it fits your taps, I suppose, and almost certainly needing a lot less strength to install - but not what I was after.

Not perfect - but a very good alternative to fitting one yourself
We live in a rented property and they obviously won’t just fit a shower when requested - it is after all a preference, not a requirement (unless needed for disability reasons I guess). So what can you do? Mostly we tried those things that push onto taps but they were rubbish. And if you used the hot for too long it moulded to the shape of the hot tap making it useless. So this seemed like a decent alternative. It stays on permanently, and doesn’t remove the bath function, if you still want to fill it up. Great. I did look at reviews first and see what kind of taps are people have, and for the most part they were the same or similar, so I went for it. And it fits. The alignment isn’t perfect - taps will not be 100% consistent distance apart in every home, and ours is ever so slightly off, which I suspect is why it’s not 100% water tight for us. Please don’t read that and be put off - when the bath is running, cool beans. No leaks, all is well. When the shower is on however, a small (and I mean small, like a dribble) amount of water does escape from the slightly out of place hot tap. Despite that, the shower is fantastic. From a relatively low pressure tap, comes what feels like a high pressure jet from the shower, I dunno how it works, but it does. Very happy indeed. Great value. Just, you know, double check sizes and things beforehand.

Only lasted 2 months...
Product arrived very quickly (september) and I was excited to get it up and running... I had to wait 2 weeks before being able to get it up as I needed a friend to help me with it as I wasnt quite strong enough to do it myself... Once up and running it was fantastic! It did still slightly leek out the back but it done the job and I loved it... After about 3 weeks, I noticed the leek in the back was getting worse and the pressure from the shower had lowered but it was still getting the job done... Skip ahead to early November and while showering, the pressure dropped completely and hot water started shooting out the back and splashing onto my leg which burned like hell. Lucky I was the one in the shower and not my 7 year old... After removing the unit to find the problem, I could see the really thick rubber had completely split. I'm gutted to say the least as I had brought everything to turn my bath into a shower and it's now completely useless... I had hoped I could buy a replacement part for this but have to buy the entire product again if I want it. I will not be doing this... Really disappointed in this product....

Most negative reviews are due to improper use. 10/10 recommend.
Absolutely 10/10. I hardly ever leave reviews but I thought this one was definitely needed after all the negative ones I saw when buying. Please watch my video review where I explain things and how it works. I checked the reviews on here before buying and there were a fair few negatives as well as positives, but considering I've spent the last 8 weeks washing my hair with a jug, I decided to give it a go. A lot of the negative reviews expressed an improper seal and leaking from the rubber tap seals and that the lever to switch between tap and shower didn't work properly. I watched ONE review that thankfully helped overcome these problems. Firstly, the extention does NOT come with tools to successfully put it on the taps. You NEED to order a 7mm socket wrench. I bought one for under a fiver that was delivered the same time as the shower. Without this there is absolutely NO way you can tighten it enough for a proper seal. Just a flathead screwdriver absolutely will NOT be enough. I explain and show this more in the video. I almost wasn't strong enough to tighten it fully and actually rang my stepdad to come tighten it that bit more. But one last push and I did it. Secondly, the lever. I saw ONE video review that pulled the lever down enough for it to click. No one else did the same thing and they were all having problems with the lever flicking back up. When the shower arrived and I was messing around with it before I installed it I pulled the lever down and it took quite a bit of force to make it click. I was actually worried about breaking it. However, after a few times of clicking it back and forth it goes without any issue now and stays in place. This thing mixes the water well in the tap and the shower, has GREAT water pressure and provided you tighten the clamps enough and make the lever click, I have absolutely no issues whatsoever and definitely recommend. The hose provided definitely isn't long enough for a full body shower but it's long enough for me to wash my hair comfortably, and fkr the price it's the best I've seen. I rabbit on a little in the video, but hey ho. Haha.

Difficult review, love & hate it.
So this thing is kind of great but very irritating. It works great once on, I’m guessing because I have good water pressure… The mixer function is great for running a bath. But the install is SO frustrating. Firstly getting everything tight with just a screwdriver is difficult/ impossible (I do maintenance of a living so I have tools & experience). I could not & have not been able to stop one side from leaking. I’ve tried everything. So much so I over tightened it & the rubber seal has split. (If the seller could let me know how I can get hold of another that would be great) But it’s on & despite the split I’m still able to take a nice shower, I just have to mop up the water that has sprayed from the leak & split afterwards. I would recommend this product but I would say it’s not the hassle free product it could be.

Brilliant product!
If you need something like this, well you've found it. Why? 1) It works! perfectly, every time. The lever is pressure operated, so it's very easy to use, just the lightest of touches and the water, having being mixed through the single 'tap' at the bottom, then comes out of the shower head instantly. 2) It is very easy to fit! Just two jubilees and two small screws on the covers and it's on - and it stays on. No leaks, no slipping. It's solid. ( If you also need to fit the rail etc, it is also very simple, good instructions come with it too) 3) It Looks good. It's well designed and, because of the easily fitted covers, the Jubilee clips etc are all hidden. 4) The cost. I mean, come on, at that price you cant go wrong! 5) I bought it, fitted it, used it.It's been fitted some time now, good as new and I get the impression it will last for years. So there you go, Its cheap, well built and designed, easy to fit and it works a treat. I'm impressed ( and amazingly clean!!!) A quick update..( August 2018 ). It is now 4 and a 1/2 years later. It is still in use ( used daily ) and is still working perfectly. Never had a single problem with it, never had to tighten the clips, and it looks as good as new. It really is a great product. Another update, May 2020. Over 6 years now and it has just started to leak slightly from one clip. It has been used daily, and for the past year or so with a dodgy shower pipe that had a kink and so forced all of the pressure back into the unit, which probably explains the slight leak. I could fix it but, after 6 years I am going to retire it and buy a new one! I know how easy it is to fit,it's still very cheap and it will last at least until 2026!

Really good
It works well, despite the fact that I don’t have a lot of pressure. I had gotten another mixer from croydex when I moved in years ago with the single attachment and it was not helping at all because of my low pressure. In the videos you can see it leaks a little bit and I thought it’d be like this but I unscrewed it and pushed the taps further inside and it was not leaking anymore. The cold water tap isn’t still leaking a bit but that’s is my fault for not pushing it inside properly, however I still get full pressure and a perfect amount of water from the shower head

Didn't do intended job.
It seemed to fit my taps perfect but water just poured back up the taps and didn't make it to the shower head very disappointing as reviews seemed good maybe there are washers or something missing. Didn't work for me..
