metal ice packs holds the cold for hours - it was still slightly frozen after all day in my sandwich cool bag. Watch out your fingers don't get stuck on the packs when handling/taking out of freezer.

I try to buy things that are non porous and will last the rest of my life. Pretty sure these will be with me til the end 😆 They stay extra cold for extra long, just wish they had a bigger size option.

I used these to carry refrigerated fresh dog food, several Kombucha and lots of sandwiches for my dog and me, to drive from N IL to S AZ. 3 day trip btw.. Ugghh! These cooling packs lasted for DAYS! i did place them into the tiny ( nearly useless) freezer inside the hotel room tiny fridge, overnight. Maybe with that extra help.. they absolutely kept everything cold. I just sent one w/ my son's meatball pizza on his flt from Ohare to Boston and then to JFK, and he said the pizza was great and stayed cold. Impressive Highly recommend

These are awesome ice packs to use for a long journey. We needed them to last for a flight to Australia to keep medication cold. They passed through security without any trouble and they remained cold until we got there. They each come in a black drawstring bag that helps from touching the cold stainless steel with your bare fingers. They fit nicely in a lunchbox .

If you're in need of ice packs, RUN (don't walk) to get these ice packs. I have bought a lot of different style ice packs over the years, as I need them to make an ice bath in my sink twice a day to rapid cool milk after milking my cow. The plastic ones always seem to crack and leak and get tossed, plus I hate adding more plastic to the landfill. These stainless steel ones don't even have a plug in them. They're entirely one solid piece of metal, so water can't get it and there's nothing to break. And when I tell you that these ice packs are colder than any other I've ever tried, they are. To the point that they will literally make ice blocks in my sink when I put them in a sink full of cold water!! They are also much smaller than most other ice packs out there. They're nice and flat, and stack easily in the freezer, or can tuck into lunch boxes easily because of their thinness. These ice packs are ready to pop in the freezer immediately, and are ready to go quickly whenever you're ready to go. I've bought these ice packs twice, and plan to buy more this spring, as we'll have 3 cows in milk, and we'll need to make a couple more ice baths to chill all the milk down quickly. I trust these to do the job!!
