The shadow box is useful for many things that you would like to keep dust free and secure. Having a magnet to secure the closing is a good idea. It cold have just a little more depth to the design but I guess that would come with understanding what you want to display in your shadow box.

Bought this for saving and displaying baptism items, invitation and photos for my grandson. I have made several of these type shadow box’s and really like this type because they open from the front and have really strong magnets to keep the door closed securely. They also have the wall hangers attached to the back for ease of putting on a wall. This came packed with padding and a heavy outside box so that was really good to prevent breaking during transit. I really like these that being said one of my came broken and the glass was shattered.

Not the best quality.It was advertised as wood but the surface feels and looks more like contact paper. Packaging was a piece of plastic film covering the frame inside the mfg cardboard box and this was inside a paper mailing bag which had a small hole in it.Can’t comment on the functionality of the item or the quality of the magnets as even before we opened it we could hear the rattle of broken glass. My husband carefully opened it and confirmed that glass was completely shattered.It was immediately refunded. Thank you Amazon!I purchased similar item from another seller and it arrived in perfect condition, well protected by bubble wrap and styrofoam inside the mfg box which was packed tightly inside another box.You get what you pay for.
