Fix n Zip Instant Zipper Replacement, Nickel, S

This is an outrageously EXCELLENT product that has rescued a beloved sailing bag. An over-exuberant teen tried to pack more into the bag than was ever going to be possible and the plastic zip slider broke. Even if we could find someone with the right sewing machine to fully replace the zip, it would be ridiculously expensive. I don’t know why others have struggled with this item - I fixed the bag in less than 5 minutes and that included the time taken to force off the old broken slider. I researched my options carefully to ensure the right size was selected for this zip (a YKK 10 - so definitely needed this XL size). The instructions were comprehensive and if stuck there is encouragement to reach out to customer care for assistance (not required). The job was a little fiddly, but certainly not complicated. The only thing I might alter in future is the zip pull just to make it slightly more convenient with wet/cold fingers to but this is a minor consideration. The key thing to know is that this large plastic zip can now be easily and securely fastened so its contents are safe & dry. Really happy to have restored 100% functionality for a fraction of the price of a full zip replacement or new bag. Very happy customer and will definitely reach for this solution again as and when other zips fail.

Read all the reviews but presumed some were 'finger trouble' so bought the zipper anyway. Arrived next day. Followed the instructions and zipped up my new raincoat (great coat, crap zipper). worked a treat. took less than a minute to fix, even with my fat fingers...

Useless. Zip size correct but would not go on to the zip itself. Now in the bin of Amazon over promises

Was a bit fiddly getting the zip teeth to lock but after 5mins it's restored a old metal zip on sofa cushions, it's solidly made. Very pleased

Purchased this item from seller in USA as none available in UK. Took 2 weeks to arrive and am impressed with the simplicity of this gadget. My jacket zip broke and rather than spend a fortune getting expensive zip replaced, I came across this little beauty of an item via sellers website for fraction of the cost of repair. After viewing couple of sellers instruction videos I decided to chance my luck and buy one. So glad I did as the FixnZip repair is easy to fit and works a treat. My broken jacket zipper has a number embossed on surface, and after checking with magnifier glass I could see the number and ordered the correct size via the helpful guides on FixnZip website. My only negative would be the lack of clear fitting instructions regarding how to fix all the parts onto your FixnZip. Instructions are printed on inside of stapled cardboard which is attached to a small plastic resealable bag. Take care when opening as not to damage card as instructions are printed inside of it. The zipper is easy to fit, just unscrew it and pop over teeth of your zip side on the correct side, hand tighten the screw fully, then about 1/4 turn back and simply pull up. The enclosed items included a piece of cord, piece of plastic and also a small key ring which allows you to attach it to the new FixnZip. I knew what all parts were and where they went, it,s just it could be confusing for some as to figure out how they are actually fitted. Make sure that your teeth on your plastic or metal zips are intact and none are missing or broken or this item will not work properly. They can be used to repair jackets, sleeping bags, jeans, rucksacks, just about any garment that has a zip on it :) Hope this helps someone decide about this particular item.

Absolutely brilliant product. I have tried a variety of other solutions prior to this one and all of them have had one fault or another in their design. This zip was originally discounted as a solution due to its price but, after trying the cheaper options, having mixed success and, ultimately failing I decided to purchase it and I'm glad it did. Firstly, it's made of metal, whereas others are sometimes plastic. Secondly, and here is where it stands out, you are able to fit the zip without messing with the existing teeth on the zip mechanism. Other hinged zip solutions are either flimsy in their construction, don't bind the teeth correctly or the locking screw doesn't hold after a few pulls of the zip. Fixed zip replacements need to have parts of the zip strip removed to fit the mechanism, which weakens them. So, I wish I'd purchased this zip in the first place and I'm glad I now have it. My only advice, which the seller alludes to, is to ensure that you check the teeth spacing to get the correct size. It's very simple to confirm and the seller's instructions onsite have images showing how to do it.

Right size and fitted easy but quite hard to slide just kept coming off.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I was compelled to because I was so impressed with this product (heck, I even made a video demonstration)! I bought a vintage hiking rucksack on Vinted for £3.50 (bargain!) with the only snag being that the it was missing a zipper from the top compartment. I thought this would be easy and cheap to replace / repair. How wrong I was! A reputable, well known company quoted me £50 for a replacement zipper!! At that price, I might as well have bought a brand new bag. I stumbled across FixnZip on Amazon, and despite mixed reviews I thought I’d give it a go, especially given how much cheaper it was than my repair quote. My replacement zipper arrived the next day, and the instructions were really easy to follow (helpful videos on the website too). It took me less than two minutes to attach it to the bag, and it worked an absolute treat. The top pocket now sips closed and the bag is good as new. All in all, about £20 spent on what is a very good quality rucksack. Couldn’t be happier. Really good product that does what it’s supposed to, and it’s always nice to support a small business. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again.

Ich brauche den für einen Reissverschluss von einem Sofa-Bezug der ziemlich unter Spannung steht und war zuerst etwas kritisch ob der das Packt. Aber das Teil tut es einfach und der Reissverschluss hält. Die "Montage" war auch einfach und ging ohne Probleme. Klasse! 5 von 5 Sternen, 100% Empfehlung!

FixNZip to the rescue! Nothing irritates me more than a broken zipper that renders an item useless and targeted for the waste basket, or destined for winds of gaffer tape and or shock cord to close. Hence, my favorite 2 decades old sports top with a half zipper - my favorite go-to garment, or more recently, a just out of warranty expensive two suiter / dress folding luggage rendered unusable due to a broken zipper. Take it to a luggage repair shop - guess how they make their living, or the local tailor, and yes, repair is possible but too costly to justify. I tried multiple zipper repair gadgets; too flimsy, cheaply made, couldn't keep zippers closed, broke zipper teeth ... I'll stop here. Came across FiizNZip. Costs a bit more than many of the "gadgets" out there, but it is easy to install, no sewing or clamping or gluing necessary. It also works smoothly and comes in variable sizes to suit you repair needs. My two-suiter luggage has survived multiple airport encounters with baggage handlers and still works great. And my legacy sport top keeps on zippin'. Quality item, built sturdy, in sizes suitable for almost any zippered application, with good instructions. You should keep two handy for the inevitable.

Franchement l'installation ouverture/fermeture avec la fermeture éclair est très très pratique et cela ne s'endommage pas après 2 ou 3 tentatives. Malheureusement, pour les fermetures éclair intérieures de valise, cela ne permet pas de fermer la fermeture et la maintenir fermée car il y a toujours 1 ou 2 dents qui ne sont pas fermées et tout s'ouvre. C'est dommage mais c'est la conception et l'installation de la fermeture dans la valise.
