What a great film full of drama and anticipation all the way through good for a family watch.

One of the more constant and entertaining genres on the movie production line is the thriller. Such movies generate tension and excitement as they usually contain substantial action scenes involving gun fights, brutal assaults, and a level of violence that can be accepted by the viewer without too much reticence, or sense of reality. Naturally, each of these factors maintain the suspense level, therefore the interest, of the viewer. Such a film is “Survivor”, an occasionally gripping thriller about US State Department employee, Kate Abbot (played by Milla Jovovich), who is posted to the American Embassy in London. No easy life is envisaged for Kate Abbot, especially as she is charged with stopping terrorists from getting into the US of A. It is not specifically detailed as to how working in the American Embassy in London is intrinsically connected with such terrorist prevention and entry into the USA. In the narrative of this movie, that realisation must wait until the concluding part of the movie. However, such a position places Kate Abbot in the direct line of fire. This seems an inevitable implication for American occupants in this field of work. Early in the fiolm, and for reasons that are not entirely convincing, Abbot is framed for crimes she did not commit and, again inevitably, is targeted for death. The instrument of her killing is to be a very professional assassin, just known as Nash (played by Pierce Brosnan). Now Abbot must find a way of clearing her name and, in the process, endeavour to stop a large-scale terrorist attack, all the while avoiding being killed. As the above would indicate, the film is sufficiently involving for it to be a worthwhile watch, without requiring too much suspension of belief, or to demand repeat viewings. It is generally well acted by the film’s two star-named actors (Brosnan and Jovovich), with Brosnan in a rather understated and unusual role. An entertaining story, engrossing in parts - especially in a race against time towards the end, with good direction, and sections to engross the viewer, but not likely to remain in the memory for an overlong period.

Brilliant Action thriller keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Once again it's nice to see Pierce Brosnan back on the screen in this action packed movie. Although he's famously known for Bond, but has seamed lately taking the more drama/comedy role, he appears to be him old self when playing a determined hitman who will stop at nothing to get the job done. It also a pleasure to see him playing a villain, rather than being the outstanding well presented hero fan's of Brosnan are used to. The story line and plot are very weak, and supporting actors are not that very supporting. However it is an entertaining film and will certainly pass the time on a rainy afternoon. But for fan's of Brosnan and action thrillers it will be an exciting watch but not overwhelming. Enjoy anyway.

A good film, even though I’ve seem it before previous, had to purchase as I throughly enjoy and at a good price.

It's a very good movie with Milla Jovovich ^_^

A very good terrorist thriller about a bomb-maker / assassin known as 'The Watchmaker' who is extremely good at his job, is ruthless and in demand. Pierce Brosnan stars and is cast against type. The last time I remember seeing him in such a role was in 'The Fourth Protocol' but he is SO adaptable. Milla Jovovich is attached to the US Embassy in London and is a high-flyer whose instincts for seeking-out the bad guys is second-to-none. Co-Stars: Angela Bassett, who NEVER appears to age, Dylan McDermott - always watchable and Robert Forster. It's a well written screenplay(Philip Shelby) and is directed by James McTeigue. The only real problem I had was trying to make up my mind if Frances De La Tour was an English woman working in the US Embassy or an American woman? Her accent seemed to me at least to sound both? Edge of your seat, fast -non-stop-action.Recommended.

the viewer WANTs to see that the fiesty heroine would win out in the end, however somehow the suspense lasted right to the last moments of the film. Touch of romance, enough human error to make the good guys believable. Classic failure of the bosses. all round does exactly what is says on the tin. a great thriller.

película muy buena y muy recomendable. Pierce Brosnan es un crack aunque no haga ya las pelis de 007..olé su elegancia.

La película llegó antes del tiempo estimado, en perfectas condiciones. Muy buena película, me mantuvo entretenido, las actuaciones son buenas, tiene acción y suspenso.

Prima di tutto, Il che dimostra che ad Amazon qualcuno non sta facendo il suo lavoro, levate quella traccia audio da vergogna dove specifica che possiede unicamente la traccia Dolby Digital 2.0: Ha delle tracce sonore completissime in italiano e in inglese e la qualità di suono è stratosferica. Il Dolby Digital 2.0 è riservato per gli extra. Gli attori sono straordinari cosi come la trama è mozzafiato. Un film come pochi, eccellente. Per quanto riguarda i colori, piani visivi... ottimi. Che altro aggiungere?.... Assolutamente da raccomandare.

Pierce Brosnan est excellent dans ce film, non plus que Milla Jovovich dans cet excellent thriller.

Très bon film le DVD de Survivor est plein d'action qui vous tient en haleine jusqu'à la fin . Le son est Super et les images à couper le souffle . Ce DVD BR est absolument génial à avoir absolument.
