I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of my Hallmark House of The Dragon Iron Throne Christmas Ornament, drawn by the iconic design and the promise of adding a touch of Westerosi power to my holiday decor. On the tree, it certainly commands attention, embodying the formidable essence of the Iron Throne. However, upon handling it, the ornament didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of material quality. Contrary to the formidable appearance, the ornament feels made from a much cheaper material than I had anticipated, detracting from the epic grandeur I was excited to display. While it does make for a unique piece among my collection of Christmas ornaments, and undeniably sparks conversations among guests, I wish the craftsmanship mirrored the robustness and detail worthy of the Iron Throne's legendary status. It's a decent addition for fans looking to bring a piece of the Seven Kingdoms into their holiday season, just temper your expectations regarding its build quality.
