I've been waiting so long for someone to make hot rollers this large
These rollers are perfect for me. I have long hair, past my shoulder blades, with slight layering and long bangs. My hair is curly, but not kinky and it gets frizzy/poofy with humidity. It's thick, but only b/c I have lots of fine hair. I can wear it curly or straight. (People think that sounds heavenly, but it can be a curse with humidity, especially when I want it straight.) In the summer I let it air dry, but usually have to dry and curl it in the winter and when it's chilly outside. I love hot rollers for the ease of them, but until I found this set, they have always been too small for me. Since my hair curls really easily, I end up with too tight of curls with smaller rollers, even the 1 1/4" rollers that some would consider big. Through the years, every time I saw hot rollers with a bit bigger roller, I would buy them. Most of the time I would end up using my large barrel curling iron to get a softer curl. I'm am so happy with these. I just got them and I've used them three times so far. Once with slightly damp hair and the other two times on dry hair. My hair came out fuller when it was 100% dry first. The curls I get are soft, more like waves. I couldn't be happier, exactly what I wanted, a bit more body than what the curling iron gave me. If you're looking for curly hair with these, then get a different set with smaller rollers. If your hair is fine and straighter, I would imagine that these would do nothing for you. Straight/fine hair would probably slip right off of these rollers. If you're looking to soften your curl like I was, then get these! I use all eight, four on top and four on the bottom. I'm not a huge fan of the clips, but they do work for most of the rolls. The last roller closer to my forehead, flips forward b/c the clip doesn't hold it in place, so I hold it there for a few seconds. That is for my bangs, so I don't mind a little less curl with those and do that one last. I tried the clips from my other roller set, but they didn't work. I cut my hair curling time in half with hot rollers b/c you roll each one and by the time you get to the last one, you're ready to take off the first one. Not like a curling iron b/c you have to hold it on each spot before you move to the next. I use a little bit of aniti-frizz gel and I have body all day with these. So glad someone FINALLY made a hot roller this big! Yay!

TRASH Product. Don't buy it.
For reference, I have fine hair, mid chest in length, naturally a slight wave. My hair curls very easily and holds curl for days. . I can use just about anything and get a great curl. Except this product. Issues: -The red light is supposed to turn white when the rollers are ready, but it never turns white. So you just have to guess (this is a very common problem based on internet reviews, so I am not the exception) -The clips that are supposed to hold your rollers are the biggest issue with these curlers. They are not strong enough or tight enough to hold the roller. So you roll your curler up nice and tight and high on your head for that volume and blow out look....only for the clip to let the curler fall 5 inches and the weight of the curler pulls the top of your hair super flat...meanwhile your ears and face are being burned by the curlers that have now fallen against your skin. Anyway, after 25 min of the rollers being in, it looked like I blow dried my hair straight. No curl and the slightest bit of volume that flattened within 10 min. (Tried uploading a pic, but it won't work.) Immediately boxed back up to return! Save your money and find something better.

LOVE the rollers BUT clips don’t hold well
Love the way the rollers curl my hair! They are fast, hair is so shiny, appropriate amount of heat, hair doesn’t get caught in them, and they are covered with flocking so they do not burn! BUT here is the downside- the roller clips do not hold the rollers in well at all AND they actually fall out! I have written Conair about it, ordered replacements provided by them and from other companies and there are none that work! So, I received a tutorial from my hair dresser, and I am able to use them, only losing one to the floor during a session, and for me, the product is worth it! If you find a solution, please let me know! 😂

Overall Recommend
Good news bad news situation....Bad news, I have very long thick hair. 8 is not enough. I really need a second set to truly roll my hair correctly. Secondly because I have curly hair, I still have to blow straight and then roll my hair. Rolling on curly hair doesn’t give you the nice sleek look, but it will smooth the hair hour a little. The clips are cheap, light weight plastic and don’t hold very well. I have found that if you slide the clip in so that one side is basically scratching your scalp, it will hold pretty well. The last bad thing is that they do take a while to heat up. Because I have such thick hair, I have to roll my hair backwards (starting with the bottom first then working my way up) to give the rollers I will use on the top layer plenty time to warm up. I usually wait at least 5-8 minutes before I even start and by the time I get to the top, the rollers have been heating up for 10 mins. Now for the good news, if you have medium wavy to straight hair, these will be perfect for you. If you have hair like mine, you really have to work at it to get them to give you the desired look (but if you have curly hair, all hair products are work anyway). BUT, if you have patience and put in the work, it looks nice.

Clips do not work well but there are workarounds
I have been looking for hot rollers that are all large. I finally found this. I wish there were a couple more rollers to accommodate my hair. Some people complained that they did not curl their hair. The purpose of large rollers is to add fullness and smoothness to the hair, not curl. So, if you are looking for curl, do not buy. My natural gray hair is long and straight. I needed something to give it a finished look without damaging like flat irons and curling irons cause. These do the trick. The biggest issue I have which resulted in only 3 stars is the terrible flimsy clips that came with them. They do not hold. The hair easily slips out because of the weight of the roller and 2 tiny and bendable claws meant to hold it. I ordered larger claw clips which work fairly well but sometimes can leave a little imprint. I use these rollers but wish they would have thought through the clip issue. Another solution to the problem may be to order large wire clips and place 2 clips per roller if you don't like risking imprint from claw clips. This to me is not a deal breaker since I am happy to finally find rollers that are all large and do not result in heat damage.

Great rollers but need to order better clips.
These are great curlers, though the container was much larger than I expected so not great for traveling. The clips that came with it do not hold the rollers in place. So I ordered the metal clip replacements for 2" rollers from Amazon and they do hold the rollers.

Clips don’t stay in.
I love the way my hair looks after I’ve used them but it takes me forever because they will not stay in my hair. The clips are too small and give way too easily. I’m looking for another set that will work better if anyone has any suggestions.

I love this roller set
These rollers are hard to master, but once you have it figured out, they are awesome. They are the biggest on the market, provide amazing volume and a nice subtle wave. These will not curl your hair. If you want smooth hair, essentially straight with a slight wave, with tons of volume, get these. I wash my hair at night. I apply heat protectant and spray gel or volume spray, then air dry halfway, then roughly blow dry the rest of the way. In the morning, I heat these up for 5-10 minutes, and let them get to work. The clips seem ridiculous and impossible at first, but keep the shorter prong right against your scalp. Rotate the curler so the handles are against your skin, with the short prong between the curler and your scalp. I promise, after a few tries, it will make sense. These are jumbo curlers, and pretty heavy, so it does take practice. Also, I can't use these unless my hair has product on it. Do not put them in while the product is still wet or damp. That WILL give you indents or crimps. Let the product dry completely before rolling the curlers. Happy curling!

Yes for long hair!!! Definitely!
Yepp!!! Nice voluminous freshly blowed out looking waves on what would normally be flat day 3 hair! Love it! And it doesn't take much effort at all! Yesterday my roots were especially oily and some dry shampoo and these rollers still made it perfect :-D Happy gal over here.

Large, modern, bouncy, curls
I have thick, fine, silky medium length hair. I searched everywhere for a roller set that gave modern curls/waves. I finally found it with this roller set. I highly recommend this curler set.
