30cm Acrylic Rule/Ruler with Steel Cutting Edge - Jakar

Not entirely sure how I managed without this. If you're not sure how it works, because i wasn't before mine arrived, I bought it because I saw someone on TV use it and I realised it was the solution to some issues I had encountered using the solid steel ones - it's a transparent plastic ruler, nothing really extraordinary about it - but the back edge if vertically flat and has a strip of metal glued to it. This means you can safely run a knife down it and cut whilst still seeing through the ruler at what you're cutting. Combined with having a 1cm grid printed on the surface, which really helps lining things up, this is a great tool! The other edge is a normal ruler.

I already have one of these and make a lot of use of it. The steel edge works really well as a cutting edge when using scalpels and craft knives to cut card and paper. The ruler is clear and the grid of lines on it makes it so easy to line up on whatever I want to cut. (This transparency is extremely helpful .) I ordered these two latest ones for two of my granddaughters. They are very pleased with them. It is a very good product.

Nice wee ruler with a thin metal strip running the length of the flat side. Perfect for light cutting applications such as crafting buy not up to any heavy duty cutting I shouldn't think (but then it's not designed for that). Very happy with this ruler.

Really nifty tool to keep on my work table for both measuring and cutting paper and some small pieces of fabric. fabrics. I have seen a sign that there may be potential to accidentally get the knife between the steel and the plastic edge of the ruler causing it to come away so care needs to be taken. But for now it’s working great. I like the markings which also act as guidelines for straight edges.

Bought this after I’d bought the 60cm rule from the same company. The metal cutting edge is an excellent idea as are the clear grid lines. It’s a bit expensive but we’ll worth it

Good ruler. I love the grid which helps draw parallel lines, and the metal edge for cutting against is a stroke of genius. Can't go wrong with this. Slight pity there's no inch measurements. To note: 0 is at the very edge of the ruler which makes it convenient for measuring from an object for example.

Good. I managed to cut the steel on it, but it does what it's made for. Would recommend it for crafters, I used it for cutting material for rag rugs.

A good, solid item with clearly-marked calibrations and stainless steel cutting edge. The ruler comes in a strong transparent cover which protects it from scratches. It's wider than similar rulers I've had before which makes it very stable in use. I recommend this as an excellent item for crafters, and it's so well-priced that I bought two!
