Replaced the nozzles on 3 gas cans (1 each 5 gal., 2.5 gal., and 1 gal. in about 5 minutes. All were plastic. The only difficulty was in drilling the hole for the vent. Used a scratch awl to pilot the drilled vent hole more easily as without a pilot hole the provided drill bit will dance around a bit. Otherwise the product worked as advertised and does not leak. Pleased with the replacement.

Works great for all 5 of my gas cans, I tested the caps to see being I have a few different style and manufacturer fuel cans, every can one of the 2 types of cap would fit so pretty impressed there. I only needed one of the spouts replaced but by the time they came in one of my other ones broke too. I didn't intend to initially, but being these came with the vents I did add them to 3 of my cans and really glad I did. I'm tired of my cans collapsing or bulging and getting deformed because they aren't vented. It also makes them pour so much better!

Cap fit my older 5 gallon Wedco red plastic Gas Can. The coarse thread cap is the exact diameter but the thread is slightly off. At first I though it didn't fit but tried again and it is a very tight fit but it does work. Maybe with a bit of use it will become easier to screw the nozzle on and off my gas can. This nozzle works great...no more dripping. Comes with 3 nozzles so now I've got 2 spares if anything goes wrong with this one.
