Vancropak Carry on Backpack for Airplanes, 45L Expandable Travel Backpack

For the great price I ordered this bag not really knowing what to expect upon arrival, but shortly after recruiting I was so pleasantly surprise. The bag is mainly used for transporting my Magic the Gathering cards in binders, deck boxes, etc and it works perfectly and even holds my wider binders. I also will be using it as my new carry on when my wife and I go to Hawaii. I have listed some pros and cons below: Pros: -The bag has a-lot of storage space without being big and bulky. It retains its slim shape while being full. - The detachable straps that store themselves inside the bag make it easier to just grab carry like a handled bag whenever a situation calls for that. Cons: - I don’t really have many cons but if I had to pick something that wasn’t great it would have to be the number of compartments in the bag are few. This backpack is closer to a small soft suitcase then a backpack with how few zipper compartments it has. Overall still love the bag, especially for the price. I would definitely recommend this bad for travelers and trading card game enthusiasts!

If I could give it more stars, I would. It fits a lot and it was a great carry-on item for a 3 week trip to Italy. I got one in white/brown and one in black for my 2 teens and it carried us through 3 weeks with room to spare. It is functional, comfortable, looks slick and easy to carry, clean, pack and unpack. It allowed us to get around easily without wheeling a heavy suitcase on cobble stones and busy streets, board crowded trains easily, and run to catch said trains without a suitcase slowing us down. Highly recommend for easier travel.

I wanted to buy something I could carry on for flights and not be forced to check in if a flight was full (like a hard shell roller/carry on). I have only used this bag for one trip so far, but I'm so pleased with the quality, particularly at this price. I packed enough clothes to last me 4-5 days with no issues, and was also able to easily fit a book, a large travel mug, etc without expanding the bag. Would have easily fit my laptop if I wanted. The bag felt really light and comfortable to carry. Way easier and less bulky than a duffel. It didn't take much overhead bin space, and I imagine it could fit underneath the seat. Will attempt the next time I fly. One reviewer did mention it bulges in the middle due to strap placement on the sides. It's a minor issue. I imagine if you pack a certain way, you can minimize the bulge. It's not a good enough reason for me to deter recommending this bag, which I highly do.

Vancropak 40L Expandable Carry-On Backpack — Great Travel Companion We recently returned from two months of traveling around Europe, and this backpack proved to be a very useful travel companion. For several weeks, we left our main luggage in storage and traveled with this backpack as our carry-on. Pros • Just the right size: We were able to fit about a week’s worth of clothing plus toiletries. We were traveling in the warm climates of Italy and Greece, so our clothes weren’t particularly bulky. • Airline- and train-friendly: We had no issues with the size when checking in at airports or traveling on trains. • Lots of pockets: There are plenty of compartments for organizing things, including some discreet places to keep valuables. • Versatile design: It works well as a backpack but can also be carried like a traditional carry-on bag using the comfortable handle. Cons • There is no dedicated laptop or tablet compartment, which would be a useful addition. • There is no water bottle pocket. • Some of the zippers are confusing at first, particularly the compression zipper versus the main bag-access zippers, since they look very similar. • The zippers on the outside pockets can occasionally work themselves open during travel. I wish there were an easy way to secure them. Overall, after using it extensively during two months of European travel, I’m very happy with the backpack. It held a surprising amount, was comfortable and versatile, and caused no problems as a carry-on. With a few small design improvements, especially dedicated electronics and water-bottle storage, it would be close to perfect. A solid 4 out of 5 for frequent travelers.

I spent a long time debating this purchase and reading these reviews. Had to come back after my first use to share. Just buy it! I just used this for a long weekend trip. I bought it for the comfort of carrying with the backpack straps and the size to travel “carry on only” for flights. It fit everything I needed for a five day trip to Florida with room to spare. Very comfortable to carry as a backpack or with the padded handles. Our trip changed at the last second from a plane trip to warm weather Florida to a Fall weekend car getaway in New England. Swapping shorts and T-shirt’s for jeans and sweatshirts and still was able to fit everything I needed although I did have to use the expansion for that. Love that it isn’t hard sided. Much easier to add more if needed and compress with the straps. Backpack shoulder straps connect to the body of the bag with metal clips which seem durable. Material is thick and good quality. Zippers move easily and seem durable. Definitely my new favorite bag for any weekend trip by car or plane. Excited to use it for car camping as well where I need a bigger bag and could use the convenience of a backpack but don’t want to use a full hiking backpack. Lots of little pockets to help organize. I could easily fly somewhere for a week with just this and not even need a second personal item on the plane. Can’t say for sure how durable it is over time since I’ve only done one trip but it seems like it will hold up well.

This is a preliminary review after getting the backpack out of the shipping box. The backpack was in a plastic bag that was of a heavier material than I normally see for such a lightweight item. It was a resealable bag that they thought to also tape across the resealable portion of the plastic bag to keep it from popping open during shipment, I'm guessing. What got me was they even taped the bottom two corners of the bag to make them form to the lines of the backpack packed inside. Who does this? OK, enough with the plastic bag. Reviewers have commented on the pro and cons. I'm usually concerned with the cons. What comments I remembered was it was thin, floppy (no structure?), had and had no bottle carrier. What I was expecting was a nylon sack with a bunch of zippers and straps. What I found was modestly padded bag that had no form BUT, it was also just unwrapped and and nothing inside it to give any form. After stuffing it with clothing, towels, etc, the shape began to form into what I expected it to look like. Compartments are good sized and well protected. As for the bottle holder, I can always get a bottle carrier with a velcro strap that has a ring on the other end to sling along a bottle. This is a combo suitcase/backpack. It's not going to be perfect for everyone, not at this price. The padding on the straps are better than expected. They won't rival anything from REI, Northface or Patagonia but then again, I'm not paying $75-250 for this above base level bag either. What else, no off putting gases when opened up. Looks pretty good, to me. Cons so far (for me) are the cinch straps. I wish there was one in the middle of the case. After cinching down the top/bottom straps, I was left with a bulging "belly" about the middle of the case. When putting the case away, it would be nice if a couple of the straps could do double duty and hold the case together when folded up for storage. A minor thing. I'll be putting this to wok in a few weeks, IF I remember, I'll update this post with any new observations I come across.

I cannot rave about this bag enough. It's nice looking, durable, spacious, versatile and just plain awesome. I crammed so much stuff in this bag for traveling abroad, no one could believe it. Toiletries, iPad, books, snacks, a change of clothes, medications, tissues, a travel pillow, blanket, headphones, flip flops, a notebook, markers and more. The bag expands, if necessary, and has plenty of clasps, zippers, and elastic organizer straps to keep everything in its place. On my way back home, the Airport Giftshop was calling my name. I bought 3 bone china cups, 2 small bowls, a stained glass window hanging and some candy. Guess where all that stuff went? Yep...right into this cool backpack, all wrapped in tissue so they wouldn't break! The wide straps make it comfortable to use as a back pack, BUT ALSO, there is a nice padded handle if you want to carry it like a duffle bag. I love this bag. I got the eyeroll from my daughter for bringing so much crap with me and then buying more stuff at the airport, but hey, I carried it all with ease (and, because of that eyeroll, I'm not sharing that candy with her!). This bag is EVERYTHING!

Have used in all my trips since 2023 and loved it! Perfect size, do not longer use carry on. Plenty of pockets and space. Mo issues with the material and quality. Highly recommend this backpack.

Super mochila

Both me and my partner have been using these for all our travels since we bought them. High quality, hold A LOT of things. Don't be fooled by the title "for men". I'm a girl and I use it too, not sure why it's gendered. We traveled with Ryan Air and many other companies without any problem. More convenient than a small bag on wheels since we rarely go straight to the hotel from the airport.

I recently became an "Easyjet Commuteur" from BOD to GVA and this bag holds everything I need. Plus I know I won't have to suddenly check it in at the gate. Suitcase, computer bag and messenger bag easy all in one.
