I'm 66 years old. I gained a lot of weight when I retired and had to lose it. I lost most of it by walking 60 to 90 minutes a day and eating right. But I noticed I struggled when climbing stairs. So, I had to built up my muscles in my legs. Walking wasn't enough. These 1 lb ankle weights are great. I can feel a difference already and its only been a few weeks. After a couple of months, I will order 2 lb weights to increase strength even more. I highly recommend them. Easy on and off velcro straps.

They are more for ankle than wrist. I wanted them for wrist. Too bulky and slides around for a petite wrist like mine. For the ankle use, it will be fine. Plus, the underside of one weight was dirty. Otherwise it is what it is!
