Leak Free and Easy to Use Garden Hose Quick connectors
I am truly impressed with these extremely cost-effective quick hose connectors. When only the hose end is connected water is cut off. That's an expected plus and a minus. If you just want to run the hose you will need to either remove the hose end quick connector or plug in the mate for water to flow. The mate to the hose end screws into whatever accessory you have. Because of the connector shape you may want to use a 17mm or 11/16" wrench to snug it up. Joining the two together is a breeze. Very easy to simply plug it in. To remove the accessory simply pull on the collar and pull apart. The rubber O-ring makes it a NO DRIP connection. An added plus is that if you are using water wand or a pistol grip spray nozzle it will freely rotate so a twisted hose/nozzle combination doesn't exist and therefore easier to water. I anticipate updating this review in a few months. I have very hard water, and my previous metal quick disconnects freeze up, get gunky, and become hard to exchange hose attachments. Time will tell about these quick disconnects. And if it does become unusable after a few months' total replacement of the combination of connectors is very cost effective.

No more corroded quick disconnects!
Excellent. When I was in kindergarten, my father worked for a major national catalog/retail chain in their hardware department selling their legendary lifetime warranty tools. He equipped every outdoor faucet, hose, sprinkler nozzle (and even the little fire hydrant for a toy fire truck that I had) with bronze quick-disconnect fittings from that hardware brand. They lasted for decades and worked great. Years later my wife and I have gone through numerous hose disconnects from home improvement stores. While the experience starts out great they end up with problems because of the metals used - even with plating. They corrode and fuse together, bind up with salt deposits if used to fill the pool, fuse to the vacuum breaker valve on the hose bib after binding up, and have to be removed with a cutting disk on a dremel. Fed up, we turned to Amazon, and found a number of plastic options that won’t suffer corrosion and fusing. Unfortunately a lot of them came in kits with flipped genders so half the fittings wouldn’t be used. Then we found this set male/female pairs in a set of 8, at such an affordable price that even if they only last 3 years like the metal ones have, they’ll be an easy and inexpensive replacement without needing to grind anything off. They fit and work great, sealing well. The female QD ends of the fittings (which screw over a male threaded connection like a hose bib) have a built in check valve, so water won’t flow unless a male fitting is plugged into them. This physically interfered with putting them on the vacuum breaker valves on our hose bibs. If you have this problem, or just want your hose to be open ended to let the water flow with nothing plugged in, just remove the o-ring from the white plastic valve core and the let the core drop out the other side. It’s just as easy to reinstall if you want to put it back in.

Works Well With A Hose But Serious Problem With a Short Hose Y-Splitter Connector
The product works very well as a quick disconnect fitting for a hose and doesn't leak. A good value for the price. However, when I tried to use it with the Morvat Heavy Duty Brass 2 way Y Splitter Garden Hose Hexagonal Connector (B01N9QQCJP), I had a serious problem. The Morvat splitter has very little distance between its ball valve and male Y connector end in each branch of the Y splitter. When you screw the female Liulo fitting onto this end, the internal plastic piece (white object within female connector in product picture) butts up against the Morvat ball valve and blocks water flow when the Liulo male connector is pushed into the other end of the Liulo female connector. If you screw the Liulo female connector all the way onto the Morvat Y male connector end, the pressure of the ball valve on the Liulo plastic piece may actually eject the Liulo male plug out of the other end of the Liulo female connector, breaking your water flow pathway. I got the assemblage to work by wrapping the Morvat splitter with three or more turns of the supplied sealing tape and only screwing on the Liulo female connector enough so the coupling didn't leak (much) but the water still flowed because the Liulo internal part wasn't pressed tightly up against the Morvat ball valve in each branch of the top of the Y (I'm attempting to split my hose connection to supply two drip irrigation lines with one hose). One or both manufacturers need to modify their product designs. The Liulo plastic part projecting into the internal space of its female hose connector end when its male counterpart is plugged into the other end is not very clever. Same with Morvat placing its ball valve so close to its male connector end at the top of each Y. I will be looking for different products to replace each part although each is a fine product by itself and I will continue to use them separately.

These work, but...
I specifically asked the Amazon AI bot if these LIULO quick connetors are compatible with Melnor and it said yes. They look really close and they are sort of compatible. When you mix and match between this brand and Melnor you really have to push hard to get them to lock in. Sometimes you hear the click and think they're locked, but they pop apart when you put water pressure on them. If you already have water pressure on the hose, don't even try to snap them together. Drain the hose first unless you don't mind struggling and getting soaked in the process. That's why I took off 1 star. Otherwise they appear to be well made, good quality material, don't leak and work fine as long both the male and female fittings are LIULO. They are a bit less expensive than Melnor though, which is why I bought this brand. I'll give them a "not bad" rating.

Great Quality. They do have flapper check valves if you so desire.
Just a heads up that these have flapper check valve in them, which sometimes I want coz it saves me a trip to the faucet to shut off the water before I change a hose attachment. But then other times I want connectors without the check valve so hoses will drain. Its just a matter of what you need or your preference. Theses are well built and connect smoothly. I recommend.

Not compatible with all hose bibbs or hoses.
These do interchange with the Melnor versions but they don't work on all hoses or hose bibbs. On the female threaded end there is a white plastic plunger that is pushed up into the Hose Bibb or hose end when the grey insert piece is snapped into the quick connect. (See photos) If your hose bibb or hose doesn't have room for this, it stops the insert from going in. 4 out of 6 at my house don't have room for this and neither do some of the watering timers or the "miracle" hoses. The Melnor ones don't have this issue but they cost a lot more.

Perfect for hose attachments, will shut off water flow when you pop one off and put another on.
Finally, I found the exact things I was looking for. They screw onto the hose end and go into the nozzle, sprinkler, sprayer, etc. and they have a stopper so you can pop one attachment off and put another on without water shooting everywhere.

No quedan en roscas cortas
En llaves nariz con rosca corta no se pueden usar ... Es un sistema diferente a los truper dónde el diámetro interior de la llave o tubo donde se ponen interfiere con el cierre del conector. Con truper no he tenido problemas. En algunos casos quedan bien, pero para adivinar o que todas las aplicaciones sean con diámetro interior amplio está difícil
