Works well at a great price
I bought this to help balance and charge my 2016 Prius C-type battery modules (not for the faint of heart-- make sure you do your homework before attempting this), and I have to say this power supply exceeded my expectations. It has a constant current mode and a constant voltage mode, but the interesting and convenient feature is that it switches automatically between these two modes according to the load you attach. If you set the max current to 2 amps, and the max voltage to 8.0 volts, it will deliver 2 amps while the battery voltage is at 7.7, 7.8, 7.9 and then when it reaches 8.0 volts it automatically switches to constant voltage mode and the current drops. It doesn't go to zero at first, because the battery was at 8.0v in part because of internal resistance, so the thing gently lowers the current and prevents the voltage from exceeding 8 volts. This was extremely convenient, as it allowed me to leave it unattended for periods of time without worry I would damage the modules by over charging. There are purpose-built battery chargers that will also do such things, with some added benefits of measuring the battery capacity in the process, but honestly I wasn't really interested in doing a deep exploration of every module, and I wanted to balance them all at once. Even quite expensive battery chargers can't produce the high current you need for large parallel banks of EV modules, so this ended up beating out the hobbyist battery charges so badly I returned those and I'm keeping this. The way I used it was to switch the whole battery from series to parallel by reversing the orientation of every other module (again-- you have to know what you are doing to try this, I have a degree in EE), and then I ran a 14 AWG wire connecting all the negatives together, and another connecting all the positives together. I just hooked up the power supply to the bank all at once. I set it to a max voltage of 8.0v and a max current of 4 amps (which divided by 20 battery modules is way below the 0.1C current standard), and then I could walk away and let the device do its thing. If you go to the trouble to check the output voltage delivered with the value that the unit displays on the screen, be sure to measure the voltage at the terminals-- as the voltage drop at 4A in the leads is significant. I found the readout to be decently accurate (though its only 2 decimal places past the decimal point, so not an ultra-high precision voltmeter by any means). I really like it. When its working hard, the fan turns on to prevent overheating, so it has a little personality to it to boot. It is a sign of the times that I was able to buy a $35 module, and a $30 power supply and then repair a hybrid battery that the repair shop wanted $3600 to fix. Today I have a perfectly working Prius C-type, a really sweet power supply, and $3535 dollars in my pocket. SMH.

Great Value for your dollar!!!
This 15v 10a variable desktop power supply is an extreme bargain for what you pay. It's simple and basic, but it works fairly accurately, and it is cheap, cheap, cheap. Maybe I should say inexpensive, as cheap has negative connotations:) More usb ports and a couple of usbc ports that are metered would be awesome, but that might drive up the price, and I was looking for a very inexpensive desktop variable supply. It's only been a few days and a handful of hours of use, but I am very happy with it so far.

Accurate voltage and solid performance — just watch out for early failures
My Use Case: I’ve been using this power supply for a few months now to run equipment that pulls around 8 amps continuously. Performance & Voltage Accuracy: Voltage accuracy has been very good. Once it’s dialed in, it stays stable under load without noticeable fluctuation. Even during longer sessions, the output remains consistent, which is exactly what I needed for my setup. Thermals & Fan Noise: At roughly 8 amps over extended periods, it holds steady without overheating. The cooling fan isn’t silent, but it’s not overly loud either — just a low, steady sound that blends into the background. Reliability: Worth noting: the first unit I received failed after moderate usage and ended up getting fried, so I had to return it. The replacement has worked perfectly so far, so quality control may be hit or miss. The second one has been rock-solid. Final Thoughts: When it works, it works very well — accurate voltage, stable under load, and reasonably quiet. Just be aware that you might get a bad unit the first time. The replacement has been excellent, so overall I’m satisfied with it.

A great tool to have on your bench
If you’re like me, and you’ve never had a DC power supply lying around outside of putting leads on spare car batteries, this thing will change your life. It gives you access to a wide range of voltages and amperages to test your devices. It will tell you how many amps/watts your device is using. I’ve used it to charge lithium ion batteries, test 12v controls, test old uninterruptible power supplies and test drive 5v devices. Highly recommend!

looks nice
I ended up returning this item due to my other ones still working. I thought it was broken, but it was my cord. This item is exactly like my current one though. It works great and has the needed output power switch. I wish i could rate this one for you, but it did seam to be the same and my current one is amazing.

This thing is amazing!
This thing is precise. I upgraded my leads and charging cable of course but the unit itself is just amazing for the price. I bought mine to charge and wake up a LTO car audio battery. Which is not a simple, safe or straightforward process if you’re a beginner like me. The quality of this charger is excellent. Screen is nice and bright. It doesn’t make any noise and is compact and sturdy.the cool thing is that it works with basically any type of battery and has a USB port if u wanna charge your phone on it. I wouldn’t mind definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a versatile charger.
