I'd give this a 4.5 if possible. It is very easy to put on and quite comfortable, especially compared to most ice packs. It was a little loose (I typically wear a 7.5 shoe) but still worked well. It got to full freeze in about 2 hours. The cold only lasted for about 15 min, though. That's not too bad considering icing should be limited to 15-20 min anyway.This can also be microwaved for hot therapy. Either way, it is easily the most comfortable solution for foot/ankle pain but it just doesn't last as long as others. I'd still recommend largely because it is so easy to use.

The gel has all broken up and disintegrated after 2 uses. Very disappointing

I was looking for an ice pad for my foot that didn't have bulk or annoying straps...this is perfect. You just pull it on your foot like a sock, and on me, it covers from my toes to over my ankle. This gel sock gets nice and cold, which lasts about 1/2 hour or more for me. It's very soft and comfortable...I'm even able to sleep with it on.The only thing that could be better is that the sock has about 1/2 inch seam on both sides where there is no gel, and it doesn't get cold. However, I was able to simply rotate the sock to get the cold where I needed it, and that worked fine. I definitely recommend this gel sock.

It meets my needs, however, it looses it's coldness more quickly than some other products.
