A standard test “light” will only confirm you have voltage present. This one tells you what that voltage is. I was able to determine voltage drop and find that a connection was corroded. So, it paid for itself right there in my eyes.

I bought this tester because I wanted to know a little more about my quick circuit testing than a dummy test light will tell you. This thing checks all the boxes of high quality. I have been using it on 36 volt and 48 volt golf carts. Helps in checking the batteries and running your lower 12 volt accessories without burning them out. I have used a lot of different testers over the years and this one hands down is better than any other I have ever used. It is my go to tool. I use this every day and it is far easier and quicker then getting out my $200 meter (that is a pain in the butt to use). The only negative is that the meter does not give any measurement past 48 volts. However, LOL. I did buy this as a 3v-48v tester and it does that job precisely. Great customer service as well if you have any questions or issues with your circuit tester.

This item is of very high quality. I had the option to get one for a lesser cost but this one looked like the best deal for both quality and value. It has meant my needs and looks to be in my tools for many years to come. It is used for diagnostic of DC electrical continuity to find hot lines or terminals or broken connections. this one works all the way down to 3 VDC and up to 48 VDC so a wider range than other options. With a very clear digital read out which is nice to check the voltage as delivered to the prospective sight or terminal component. I used it for automotive at 12 VDC but can be used for computer diagnostics too as it goes down to check the many 5 VDC connections too.

Upon opening the packaging I could see I was impressed with it’s visual quality. I took it out to the garage to see how it works on my own pickup. I grounded it to the body and touched it to the positive post on the battery. I quickly noticed that I had the LCD window turned away from me and when I went to readjust the tester stopped working and I couldn’t make it work again, so by now I’m pretty angry. Upon a visual examination I noticed the cord end screws off so I remove it to see if there might be a inline fuse but it was only a spring to hold tension between the cord and volt meter .mechanism. I cleaned it off and put it back together and it started working again with no more mishaps. The numbers aren’t clearly visible until you have the LCD window at the perfect position which might pose a problem when you’re in an awkward position and can’t move to see it perfectly. All in all those where the only two annoyances I seen with this tool, it’s kind of like a miniature version of the Power Probe which I also have. Can’t hardly wait to start using it!!
