Wasn't sure if I would like the 'old school' keyboard, but the Nintendo style appearance sold it to me. Coming from an Apple low profile keyboard it is a different typing experience and I am still getting used to it, with a few more mistypes than usual, but I should get used to it. Saying that, the look is really nice, it feels VERY good quality, nice and heavy, lovely sound to the keys and feels solid with no travel/depression of the keyboard when typing. The thing that I like the most is that I can use it with both my laptop and PC without needing 2 keyboards. I can switch between the wired connection and the 2.5G USB connection so I can type on each computer with the turn of the switch. Really nice for keeping the desk less cluttered. Love it!

Upgraded from the ANNE PRO 2 and this one is so much nicer. 1. Aesthetic = Lovely. Matches images. 2. Keyboard feel = Really nice, feels easy to type. 3. Hotkeys/features = I use this on Mac/PC and most keyboards are annoying, as I need to switch the ctrl + mac key all the time. With this I've got 2 profiles and can switch between them with 1 button. 4. The big buttons are fun, but kinda useless. Overall, very happy.

I like the retro look, I’m happy to not have the generic RGB disco whenever I fire up my system and I enjoy the analogue ‘twisty’ dials that work well for volume control. The best thing about this keyboard is the feel and sound. A nice satisfying thunk thunk thunk on all the keys make for a premium feel. The big double button controller thing is a cool little party trick which can be mapped to various key combos.

This 8Bitdo Retro Mechanical Keyboard is exactly what I wanted – I absolutely love its "ugly" retro design; it's got so much character! More importantly, it's a joy to use. The keys are wonderfully clacky and provide a really satisfying, fun typing experience that makes every sentence feel more engaging. Unfortunately, my first unit developed an issue after a few months, with rattling in the housing and one key stopping responsiveness. However, I was able to get a replacement, and that one has been going strong ever since, performing flawlessly. I haven't had a chance to properly use the "superbuttons" or the joystick myself, so I can't personally comment on their functionality. However, looking at the overall package and the quality of the keyboard itself, I'm sure they're a great value add for anyone who needs them, bringing even more unique functionality to an already standout product. Despite the initial hiccup, the replacement process was smooth, and I'm very happy with the keyboard now.

What can I say an utter joy to use just like their arcade stick. Beautiful to look at immense build quality relaxing sounds when using the buttons I am a very happy purchaser admin work has never been so good haha everyone should get one. Will be picking up the number pad next month to complement the keyboard. Keep up the great work 8bitdo!

I really like this; I've had a few mechanical keyboards ranging from fnatic to keychron and this is a nice option if like me you're primarily doing quite a lot of typing. I've not used the big red buttons yet to be honest but I like that you have volume control built in. I was surprised by how good the quality is on this really, very nice that you can use it wired or wirelessly. I'm pleasantly surprised! Not sure what kind of switches they are now but they're pretty satisfying to type with, feels very retro.

My first mechanical keyboard and its great. Always hesitated getting one but just had to have this because of the aesthetics. Clicking is a bit louder than I expected but I love it. The 2 buttons are a bit of a gimmick and I have put them back in the box. The multiple connection options mean I can jump between 2 computers instantly which is a huge improvement over having 2 keyboards. Overall just feels great to type on.

I absolutely love this keyboard. The quality of the keyboard is top notch as one would expect from an 8bitdo product. What I was not expecting was how satisfying and comfortable it was to type on. The feel of the keypresses is beyond incredible for a keyboard at this price point.

Lo primero es que compré este teclado porque necesitaba uno y recordaba haber visto una noticia hará unos meses. En su momento me gustó mucho la estética y me lo compré sin pensarlo demasiado ni mirar si era el mejor teclado para mis necesidades (no lo es). Llevo solo un día con el pero ya puedo dar una primera visión de las cosas buenas y malas: + Estética: seguramente si piensas en comprarlo es principalmente por la estética + Robusto: aunque es todo de plástico se ve robusto + Opciones de conectividad: Bluetooth, Cable y 2,4GHz + Opciones de macros: permite asignar combinaciones de teclas a un par de teclas y a los botones gigantes y además se puede hacer directamente en el teclado, sin necesidad de software + Control de volumen: tiene un control rotatorio para subir y bajar el volumen - Batería integrada: no sabía que llevaba y aunque para alguien será un punto positivo para mi es negativo. Las baterías integradas ponen una fecha de caducidad a los productos. Vale, en algunos casos se puede cambiar, pero no están pensadas para ello. No sé si resulta fácil en este teclado. - No tiene retroiluminación - No tiene patas. No se puede regular en altura - Instrucciones escuetas. No hay mucho en el manual de instrucciones. La letra es mega pequeña. Tengo alguna duda sobre las posibilidades para recargar la batería pero no parece que las resuelva. Por lo demás, a mi me está resultando bastante cómodo y es tan bonito como en las fotos y videos.

Ziet er cool uit (als je van de retro bent) en dan is het ook nog een heel goed toetsenbord. Lekker clicky, stevig, zwaar genoeg, verbindt goed via bluetooth of het stickje, prima batterijduur. Geen speelgoedtoestenbord!

Gillar tangentbordet skarpt. Hade varit trevligt med svensk tangentbordslayout. Använder det mest för spel och de extra knapparna programmerar jag till paus och liknande.
