I never thought I can afford to play around with some cuttlefish ink until I found these wonderful individual packets. What a great price for so many packets so now I'm going to make me some black pasta and also I have a couple other dishes that will use this cuttlefish ink as I like to make lots of Asian food because it's very healthy for you. And it's definitely a dark black color so you will be very pleased.

Individual packets that are very thick consistency. Flavor was very good. We don't do pasta nero very often so this is the perfect solution.

Worked perfect for my pasta and risotto.

So far, I’ve used one pack. What I like is that it colors pasta dough nicely without a noticeable fish taste. I will probably use two ink packs for my next single batch of pasta dough to see if I’ll achieve a more intensely colored dough. I will also add it to the water for the pasta dough instead of trying to incorporate it after. I found it to be quite viscous and difficult to distribute throughout the dough. Bear in mind that this was my first experience with squid ink. I did not know what to expect and don’t know what is considered normal with this ink.

I used this product to make black brioche slider rolls. My recipe calls for me to leave the dough in the refrigerator for 24hours to let the flavor develop. I was significantly worried that the bread will have an off putting fishy taste. But, there was no evidence of a fish taste or smell. Perfect for the job and the outcome was spectacular!
