Great Radios
These radios are an excellent value compared to other name brand options. They are rechargeable and hold a great charge. You can expect about 6-8 hours of usage before recharging, depending on how often you are talking on them. The sound quality is great and they seem to work for about 1/4 mile if there are numerous obstructions or up to about 1 mile when it is more open/rolling country. Past the 1 mile point you may still have contact, but there will be some static. I have dropped these and they have held up well with no issues.

These just work.
These are very nice. They work just as I had hoped! We use them as a way to reach other rooms to check on the elderly.

Walkie Talkie works fine. Device support email doesnโt work.
Works fine. Bad instructions. To Turn on NOAA, keep WT OFF. Press and hold down the (-) minus and then turn ON while pressing down the (-) button. I tried to contact customer support when I couldnโt figure out how to turn on the NOAA but info (at) thepxton (dot) com doesnโt work so either itโs a bogus front or they havenโt been paying the bills. Either way, youโre not going to get any support from this defunct(?) company. They write โhours of operationโ but since email doesnโt work and they donโt have a phone number (Amazonโs link goes to their website too) be aware youโre going to have to deal with whatever issue that may come up on your own.

Seems good for the price
They work alright for the price. I went like 1 mile and it was very clear. I thought it was more according to a review made on YouTube, but it works for my application. Then again, terrains conditions matter, I was in the wood. I got to test in a clear area. So far, they work good. Seller AAAAA+, great price for this unit. Thanks a LOT!

Good but do require FCC license.
Have used these twice on group trips. Reception food for approx 1 mile. Earpiece and microphone work well. They do require an FCC license if you wish to be legal. $50 for a 10 year duration license.

Perfect for my application
Purchased it to communicate with family members in our property in southern Europe. It exceeded our expectations: Not only did it handle the 3 story reinforced concrete house without any problem, it allowed communication (3-4 km away) with the nearby village. even under no direct "line-of-sight" conditions. Communication is clear and battery life up to par. Required FCC license was easy to obtain. We are very pleased with the price and the performance.

Works pretty well but not so much for 24 hr use ...
The unit works perfectly fine as far as voice quality and range is concerned. I have a couple of gripes about it. I never know whether it's ON or what volume. But that's expected since there is no lcd window. So I can't really fault it for that. the 2nd gripe is that it is cumbersome to seat in the charging cradle. It's just a bad design. A senior in my household that needs it by the bedside has great difficulty pulling and re-seating the unit in the charge cradle. Sometimes, it's not correctly seated and runs out of battery so when she needs it to call someone, it's dead. it would make it more costly, but they should design it so it can be charged by a plug-in cable.

Read for the secret to programing this radio.
Where to start. I ranked this review 5 stars so hopefully it shows at the top and people read it. I really think the radios should get three or four stars because the manual is terrible. A lot of people reviewing these radios have no clue how GMRS radios work. Channels 1-14 are shared with the FRS and are low power channels, you won't get as much range if you use them. Channels 15-22 are high power channels, you will get better range with them. Channels 23-38 are for repeater use, you can't talk directly radio to radio, they transmit and receive on different frequencies, you need a repeater in the middle. So people saying the channels don't work are wrong, they just don't know how to use those channels. Next, the manual is crap, there are privacy codes you can use, all the channels have privacy codes configured, nothing in the manual tells you how what they are or how to change them, so unless you know what they are, it's difficult to get another brand radio to talk to these radios. But here is the secret: These radios are a clone of a Baofeng MP31. Buy a Baofeng programing cable, go to the Baofeng web site and down load the programing software for the MP31 GMRS radio. Install the software, plug the cable into the speaker mike jack, turn the radio on and the audio to full volume and go to town programing your privacy codes.
