Physics: Principles with Applications (5th Edition)

This book is in very good condition, there are some very minor-unnoticable ink for the last pages and some very minor color variance on the pages. Other than that, I have no other complaints and-my expectations were exceeded-.I'm very excited to start learning this book for my self-studies in physics, as it's a great introductory book to the subject without the requirement of knowing calculus. It also teaches any mathematical subjects the content depends. Great book, particularly this one I got, and in general, highly recommended!

Along with guiding readers through the fundamental concepts, formulas and their derivation, the text provides historical details about the development of physics as a field, which I really appreciate. If you want to understand the nature of the universe, you should buy this book, regardless of whether you are a first-year college student or a lifelong fan of self-teaching.

You don't need a fancy edition book to learn physics. This book is well organized and gives you lots of examples that are as relevant today as they were in Galileo's time. The answer key is also available online so you can check your work.

I have purchased this book to supplement tutoring of students who have this text for their class. It is packed with detail, although some of the detail is not tightly matched with the problems in the back of each chapter. Although the student is challenged to reach, cretively, from the example problems to those they must do, often the "creative reach" seems too far. A good companion for this text would be a teacher's edition with some of the student's problems worked through, not just the answers.If the teacher's edition existed, I would have rated this text at least one star better.

We bought this book for my daughter who is currently a Junior in her high school. But I (her dad) started reading it hoping to help her in the process. I completed my batchelors in physics and masters in computer science. I have not read a physics book so captivating, intuitive and clear. Highly recommend it.

The book is pretty good. It is maybe more for the typical advance or college level student. It can be improved if it provides a more thorough explanation but still does a good job explaining easy question for physics. It provides a wide variety of problems. Also it has a scale of difficulty of the problem. Overall I am quiet satisfied with the book.
