Coffee and Chicory Decaffeinated, 13 Ounce

I bought this coffee because I took a trip down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and I got coffee that day at Café Dumont And it was absolutely amazing coffee Recently, I’ve had some trouble with my heart and had to leave regular coffee and go to decaffeinated coffee to reduce the amount of caffeine I I take every day It has been quite a struggle to find a decent decaffeinated coffee that taste tasted good, but I finally found it This coffee taste absolutely amazing and it doesn’t take a ton of coffee to make a great tasting pot It’s so smooth perfectly dark because one thing I can’t stand is if you can see through the coffee pot that’s not coffee that’s water lol But this is absolutely amazing and it’s a great value for my money. I do feel like I am getting a decent amount and because it doesn’t take a ton of coffee to make a decent pot. It should last me a while. I’ve already set this up for automatic delivery and I can’t wait for my next pot of coffee in the morning. And one thing I’d like to say it well is that the acidity level of this coffee is rather low. It’s not acidic. It’s not bothering my stomach. It’s not harsh on your tongue. It’s not even bitter absolutely smooth, great tasting coffee. Cannot say enough. Good about this coffee, especially for decaf.!!!!

I discovered this decaf at Cafe Du Monde itself when I get a decaf iced coffee on my last visit. The flavor is so rich and strong - it's now my favorite ground decaf and believe me, I've tried a LOT of them!! I only wish I could get it online as cheap as in the grocery store in New Orleans ;-)

Delicious! Rich, deep, smokey flavor. Great for drinking any time and for chocolate baked goods calling for coffee/espresso. I can't drink caffeine so I'm very grateful for the decaf option. Visiting Cafe du Monde is on my bucket list, but this will stand in for now!

I’ve enjoyed the caffeinated coffee of this same brand for years and didn’t know until recently the decaf version was available here, so happy to have found it. This is perhaps my very favorite decaf. It is a rich medium to slightly dark variety with of course, chicory. I prepare this in a percolator or in a drip coffee machine. Sometimes for one cup I prepare this in a reusable k cup. It tastes best to use a little extra and brew it strong. I add a tablespoon or two of heavy cream and it’s good to go. It is great without sugar, but others in my family like it with sweetener added too.

While I have never been to Cafe Du Monde in person, I have heard NOTHING but great things about their hospitality, beignets (pronounced ben-yays), and coffee. I recall however, tasting the regular coffee awhile back. Now since I am trying to cut back on caffeine, I am open to trying various brands. THIS one is really delicious in my humble opinion. The chicory gives it just a bit of a bitter snap, so cream/milk is advised, (unless of course that is your thing). Some people say that they can tell the difference between reg and decaf taste wise.... I personally, can not. Go ahead and pick yourself up a can and see what you think.

This coffee is so good!! It’s rich and smooth and you cannot tell it’s decaf at all.

Very good quality and taste

I spent a few years working in New Orleans a while back and learned to love this coffee/chicory combination. It's a fairly dark roast, and the chicory adds a rich body. At first, it might seem a bit on the bitter side, but that soon gives way to a rich, slightly smoky brew that's absolutely delicious! In fact, I like it so much I start with a big YETI of it in the morning and drink it all day, even after it goes stone cold. Given my druthers I prefer CDM decaf, a slightly darker brew with all the other good things of Cafe du Monde. Somebody said it's the same, but it seems just a tad richer. I brew it with boiling water in a French Press, then paper-filter the coffee to remove the cafenol oils (bad for choleterol I've heard.) If I found myself without either this or CDM in my pantry I'd need therapy. Don't understand why coffee with chicory isn't more universally enjoyed...

When I purchased this item, I expected a 12-pack of tins. Much to my surprise, I received a single tin. Blatantly false advertising. If I could give fewer stars, I would.

A little more bitter than I was expecting it to be. I think I prefer French Market
