Update: 56 days into owning this generator and the gas cap failed causing the generator to surge and eventually die. A lot of generators do this and the solution is to take the gas cap off and just sit it ontop of the tank hole. Not sure why the gas caps go bad. This little thing is a beast. It runs everything in our 50 amp 43’ 5th wheel easily. Two AC’s, fridge, microwave, washer and dryer. It can handle it all. It’s quiet for its size and the remote control is so awesome it’s not even funny. We have it at the end of our 25’ 50 amp cord and when I need to turn it on I use the remote. No walking out to it and messing with a pull cable. Having the direct 50 amp plug in is sweet too. This is definitely a great generator for anyone who is boondocking with their big rig campers like us.

It was working flawlessly for its first 15 hours of operation. After its first 15 hours, it shuts down every time it starts up. The return window has elapsed, so I guess I’m at the mercy of Product Support. update: after some persistence finally got it stay up. probably letting the fuel tank run until empty placed its fuel pump in desperation mode. despite this it is everything i hoped for

Really wanted to like this generator, and waited patiently for a bit of a price deal (on Prime Day), but unfortunately it simply cannot get my RV's A/C running (single 13.5 BTU Mach 3, which runs at 13.3A, and never an issue on a 30A shoreline circuit). The generator overloads and pops the breaker at the quick 33A peak spike during A/C start-up. Aside from the RV converter, no other loads. I'm well below the 7250/6000 specs, using gas and using the 50A outlet in full 120v. Just doen't support the specified max current ratings. Was able to gradually break it in using smaller loads (varied from 7A to 25A), starts and runs fine, no issues there. But obviously something isn't right if it can't even handle a brief A/C start-up surge. The unit itself arrived clean and very well packed, no damage anywhere. So I'm thinking there must be something wrong with the inverter or circuitry inside the unit. I reached out to Genmax, they quickly answered my first call, and I spoke to 2 people there. They were going to check with a product engineer and call me back within 30 minutes, but that never happened. Tried calling back later in the day, and ended up stuck on the automated system. So like some of the other reviews here, they don't follow through as promised. I reached out to Amazon to see what to do next, as I never heard back from Genmax. Amazon was great, and initiated a full refund (seems they cannot accept returns for generators). It's too bad I received a faulty unit, as I researched this model and it seemed up to the task; but it doesn't speak much for quality control. I was expecting to use this on an upcoming RV trip; but since it won't power the A/C, I'll have to either find something else fast - or use my much louder open frame non-inverter genny (one of the main reasons I purchased this Genmax was for advertised low noise). Back to the drawing board....

[Update 7/1] Customer support reached out and sent me a replacement part! The part arrived today. Adding a star because I do like the unit. Overall, I like the look of the unit, it is sharp, and compact. After adding fuel and oil, the unit started right up and the noise level of the motor is good, it is quiet, *BUT* - the surrounding plastic, and especially the plastic handle, rattle and create excess noise, negating the quiet motor! Making the unit far louder than it should be. Unfortunate. The price seemed right with the $200 off coupon. I got the unit, opened up the side panels to plug in the battery and add the oil. During this process, one of the plugs that holds the side cover on broke off. (handle side - where you have to take the cover off to add oil) This was disappointing because you have to remove side cover to service the unit! Not a great design choice, but Genmax replaced the cover! I haven't really stressed the generator yet, I am still going through the 5-hour break-in. I have run it for ~3 hours and coming up on 4th oil change before really stressing it.

Solid little Generator. I bought this for emergency backup use. Fortunately I have not had to use it for that yet. I did the initial break in procedure and then used it to power my house for about a day just for testing. Using a microair soft start it runs my 2.5 ton heatpump no problem. I have a 22 cu ft side by side fridge and a 14 cu ft upright freezer. My house is all LED lights now so and we watched movies streaming from gaming computer (750w psu). cooked some stuff in our air fryer. The only things I cut off are my 50 gallon hotwater heater, the electric range, and electric dryer. It can run a burner or 2 on the electric range if you need to, but I have a 1000w hot plate if I need to cook inside or just a 10,000 btu side btu side burner on my grill. I pull it out and run it for a few hours every couple months. I would highly suggest adding some thumb screws. I found these "Thumb Screws M5 x 0.8, 20mm Long for Tabletop Easel" that fit the recess perfect. So you can access side panels without having to grab a screwdriver. I back feed my panel via an interlock kit on a breaker. Since the panel I feed has neutral bonded to ground the generator has to be converted to floating neutral. Another user has some good picture of how to do that, it takes a couple of minutes.
