I had a great experience with Hiboy! Their customer service was excellent they responded quickly and sent out a replacement the very next day. It’s clear they stand behind their products. The quality is top-notch. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, well-made products.

Pretty good. Blew a tire in first few weeks; was unprepared. Have to buy new ones (getting tubeless replacements). Not as smooth a ride as the Gotrax but saving a few hundred is a good tradeoff

One of the standout features of this scooter is the generously sized footbed, offering a spacious and secure ride. The perfectly curated handlebar height ensures a confident and sturdy journey every time! Keep in mind, you'll cover about 30-40 miles in energy-saving ECO mode going about 11mph, but switch to Sport mode for a zippier 22mph ride, but lower mileage around 10 to 12 miles. Slightly reduced range on inclines and hills to about 10 miles or less. The dazzling LED lights not only illuminate your path at night but also add a touch of coolness to your ride, drawing compliments wherever you go. Cruising at a city-savvy 22 MPH, this scooter strikes the right balance between style and speed. Its reliable brakes and suspension guarantee a silky-smooth journey, allowing you to ride around with ease and confidence. Living in bustling DC, it's your go-to for exploring monuments and downtown areas, although it might be a tad hefty for metro trips. But who needs the metro when this scooter zooms you around town faster! The only downside - the folding mechanism—broke that clip already!

UPDATE 12/18/23: If I could give 0 stars I would. I Just got a flat tire in the rear and went to look up some videos and instructions on how to replace the tube and found nothing for the Max Pro. They give you replacement tubes so I assumed it was a straightforward process to fix, right? NOPE, not at all, changing this tire was fine until it came to getting the old stem out, which after an hour of work, finally came out but then the real nightmare began, getting the new stem back through the frame, was next to impossible. the engineering of this whole scooter is such that it is not meant to be worked on easily. I will NEVER buy a Hiboy scooter again. Buyer beware. UPDATE 12/9/2023: After owning this for a few months, I am slightly disappointed in a few things. First, I dislike how it limits the speed to 22mph. For instance, if I am going down a hill and there is potential for more speed, this will slow me down and limit my speed. Then there are the electrical issues that make riding it more annoying than fun. It will constantly cycle on and off when unplugged from the charger and when you come to a stop when riding it. Everything is mostly great when in motion, but as soon as it stops, it will power off and on and turn lights off on you or on you. It also has a very subpar app that is not very useful. It does not keep track of total mileage or have any cool features you would expect to find in a scooter at this price range. It was my first scooter purchase, and I wish I had researched more before dropping this kind of money. This is a good, sturdy, and fast scooter. It can easily maintain 22mph on flat ground but at the cost of battery life. What I DO NOT like is the app for it. First, it does not maintain or keep track of total overall mileage. So, each time you start it, it goes back to 0. This is NOT a good feature. The app has a map you can click on, but whenever I click on it, I am taken to Beijing, and it is all in Chinese or whatever language is used there. The app is awful and not worth using. I want to know how many miles I have ridden over its life. I do not want it to reset each time. This is a good scooter with bad software. It needs some good software engineers to overhaul the app, which is what needs to happen.

The scooter itself seemed great initially, but I had the following problems that force this negative review: -there is absolutely something wrong with this scooter that makes the rear tire go flat easily, and changing the rear tire is an absolute nightmare, requiring a massive amount of manual effort and tools far beyond something like a bicycle repair -when you change that rear tire, the spare tube intended for the rear tire that comes with the scooter is basically unusuable, the valve stem does not fit and is virtually inaccessible to a pump -somehow by folding the scooter as intended, as it is designed to be folded smashed up the power cord in the steering column, another bad design flaw that made this possible to be destroyed so easily with normal use, Hiboy's customer service was responsive and seemed helpful, but incorrectly was telling me (after I sent in videos and the error code) that the controller deck was broken, they kindly shipped a replacement controller deck but left me with some very complicated repair instructions that no reasonable person would pull off successfully -I took the scooter to an authorized repair facility in Lynwood, CA, the repair facility owner (just a hard working local guy operating a shop who works with a lot of Hiboys who otherwise is not employed by Hiboy but is "authorized" by Hiboy) was very helpful and kind, charging a reasonable $95 amount to successfully diagnose and fix the smashed up power cord, and Hiboy's customer service kindly said they would reimburse me the $95 I paid for that repair as it was under warranty and I used their authorized repair facility and had all the documentation, but for over a month I was told the reimbursement was pending the finance manager signature, I followed up every week but basically gave up after about 1.5 months of being told "sorry the finance manager is still out, we'll reimburse you when they're back", this does not make any sense Do not buy this scooter, or from Hiboy! Edit 3/27/27 - HiBoy customer service made good on the reimbursement of the repair I paid for, and offered me a couple freebies that were of value to me (a cell phone mount for the scooter, an extra charger) as an apology for the lengthy delay. I'm not too happy with this scooter, but their customer service was helpful, and I'm convinced that the big delay on reimbursement was an exceptional case of an accountant who needed to signoff who was just not available for an unusually long time. As such, I up this to 3 stars from 1.

Pros: If you have trouble with balance and want something super stable and comfortable, this scooter is great. The wider platform and bigger wheels make a big difference. The suspension is really good too — helps a lot on rough or uneven ground. Battery life is amazing, way better than most scooters I looked at. Cons: It is more expensive, and also heavier than others but surely I can see that it’s worth it for the other benefits Bottom line: My main concern was stability, and for that, I’m really happy with the choice. Totally worth it for what I needed.
