Everything looked great then a few days later, I went to put pens in it and the stitching came loose instantly. It's still able to hold pens but make sure to check everything before throwing away the original packaging! I'm keeping it since last time I returned an item (unrelated to this item), the item was lost in transit and I was charged again for it. Overall the quality is great and I can't wait to use it for flights!!

Clip board has no slot in the fabric, other than that it works as it should.

Bought this brand kneeboard when starting as a student pilot. Always loved my kneeboard and used it every flight. A few years and licenses later I am a CFI and have really worn down the kneeboard after a few hundred hours teaching. Since I loved this kneeboard so much I came right back here to buy the exact same one. Package came in today, and the quality of these kneeboards has gone down the toilet. The previous pocket for the clipboard (which is still shown in the product pictures) is sewn shut, so there is not a way to keep the clipboard in place while actively taking notes on it. To me, this is the most important part of the kneeboard. Additionally the material is a lot thinner, the clipboard itself is bowed instead of flat, the sheet rings are a lot skinnier and flimsier. Overall seems like the manufacturer decided to save a few bucks and ruined the quality of these kneeboards. Really disappointing.

Not quite as configurable as they make it seem... but at the price, not worth sending back. Pocket on the side is a joke. It'll hold a pair of ear plugs, but not much more. But what makes this is 3 star for me is the fact that the actual backboard for your writing pad is not held on at all. Slides all over the place. I've fixed this by using self-adhesive Velcro under it to make sure it stays put in the kneeboard. Plus, using Velcro to secure this to your thigh is not ideal. I can imagine that in a year the Velcro will be all gummed up (fulled with threads, dust and gunk) so that it no longer "bites". A actual strap with with a cinch closing buckle would have cost the same in production but make it much better. And, it does not come with any ringed plastic pouches to put your docs in so I had spent another $12 to buy a pack of 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 plastic pouches to put my checklists lists in. Had I known the above ahead of time, would not have purchased. Having something to keep the actual backboard in place and including 5 pouches or so would've made this a 4 star item and a keeper. For the price, not worth sending back and it'll work.

This is a really great buy. The only thing I wish it had was some sort of iPad clamp but it isn’t advertised as such. At the one I was still just using paper charts and check lists and it works brilliantly for that. The rings pair nicely with some plastic sleeves which you can put anything you might need into including regional or unpublished strip charts. The clipboard stays in when in use and is per study writing platform, however it does tend to slip out of the cloth when you don’t have it strapped to your leg. Not too bad a problem but can be annoying when hopping in the cockpit. Overall you really just can’t complain too much because it works really great and is a bargain.

Well at first I wasn't sure I would like this or not, but I have to say my only complaint is my dry erase marker falls through the pen holder. But since it wasn't designed for a dry erase marker How can I complain. This works great and I would recommend this to anyone that needs a good kneeboard for flying.

Just don't like the Velcro staps

Good for normal use. Challenging for those with bigger thighs.

La piernera viene exactamente como en la foto, es cómoda y algo chica pero a mí gusto está perfecto. El único detalle que tendría es que no viene los anillos como en las fotos y fue algo que me decepcionó :((
