Fantastic Fiskars all I can say made splitting good exercise rather than back breaking and frustrating

Very powerful and high-quality axe. I already have the A19 which is great for smaller logs, but there is a clear difference in the amount of power this axe can generate for the bigger logs. If you have bigger logs to chop and want a powerful axe, I can definitely recommend this. It is a large axe so of course you will need to get comfortable with the size, once you get the hang of it really does pack a lot of power.

Solid axe, metal head feels good quality, plastic handle is alright though, cuts wood alright and is functional.

Ich hatte das Glück, die Fiskars A26 Spaltaxt bei Amazon Ende letzten Jahres für 45 Euro inkl. Versand zu finden. Für die Leistung und Qualität dieser Axt ist das geschenkt! Der recht leichte, aber optimal geformte Kopf liefert zusammen mit dem langen Stiel eine Spaltkraft, die wesentlich schwerere Konkurrenzprodukte in den Schatten stellt und den Nutzer nicht so rasch ermüdet. Ein absolut professionelles Werkzeug für dicke Rollen und Meterstücke, das durch den 92cm-Stiel Sicherheitsreserven bietet, weil man bei einem Fehlschlag den Boden trifft und nicht Fuß oder Bein. Üben muss man natürlich, um so eine große Axt gezielt zu führen und kleiner als 1,80m sollte man auch nicht sein. Fiskars-Äxte sind übrigens unverwüstlich und eine Anschaffung für Jahrzehnte - meine erste ist jetzt 25 Jahre alt und funktioniert wie am ersten Tag. Die schwarze Solid-Reihe ist dabei besonders empfehlenswert, weil sie oft sehr günstig angeboten wird, aber in der Praxis meines Erachtens keinen Nachteil gegenüber den teureren Versionen mit orangem Handstück oder silbernem Kopf aufweist - da betreibt Fiskars Preisdifferenzirung und zieht den Kunden ohne echten Mehrwert das doppelte Geld aus dem Säckel. Ideal zum effizienten und kräfteschonenden Holzhacken ist man aufgestellt, wenn man mindestens eine größere und eine kleinere Spaltaxt besitzt und dann je nach Holzstück wählen kann. Ich habe sogar drei: Das Spaltbeil A11, die mittlere 1400 (Urahn der X17) und eben die große A26. Perfekt!

My second Fiskars axe, fantastic piece of equipment. Feels like high quality, lovely weight and balance to it, stays sharp and boy, can you split logs with this thing.

A quality axe with an ergonomic shaft. It comes with a cover for the axe which allows you to hang it up. The axe head is would onto the shaft rather than the traditional method. It slices logs nicely without a great deal of effort.
